So far so good. It's cold here in the land of Michelle on the eve of December.
Yes I know! I’m already getting calls from relatives up North that want to make plans to come down for the winter.

I'm getting a Covid booster in a few weeks
Have you been following this new one now? Omicron I think it is? Is it ever gonna end?

I’m trying to recall if I’ve seen a Lashout yet. I don’t think I have but I’ve read they’re not pretty.

So far we have been lucky on this thread as we have always achieved our goals. There has been times in the Cafe where the Enforcer has come out of 'Lashes. Those pesky gremlins that plagued the old Soap Chat server made lash-outs more common.

As would I. Then again I grew up thinking people turn green when they get angry.

LOL! As I understand it on Spooky Lashes can go green in a lash-out. We'll have to wait until next October to see that.
No worries. I’ve seen what a determined Michelle can do. I do read the plant conversations.

I do lose from time to time but I at least try.

I don't blame them. I know so many people that do the same thing.

I know, It sounds like a Transformer. I have a passport that is just eager to travel but I can't leave this place. I thought we'd seen the worst of this.

BTW, we made it!

This is interesting! I learn new stuff here all the time.

I do remember Soap Chat. Those were my shy lurking days.

Now this is quite fascinating!! It’s almost like we have multiple Lashes sometimes.

. I meant to ask you Lashes, did you ever try the coffee ice cream yet? Or is it still buried deep in the freezer?
Promise not to tell anyone DFF? ... I've eaten the lot, yes every bit of it :lmao:

Ooo it was the best thing ever, I even made Iced Coffee and put a dollop of the ice-cream into that ... all this when I was home alone so I didn't have to share

I had a very nice time. It was only about 10 of us. We ate all day for the most part.
10 is a great number for a family dinner :) I'm glad to hear you had a good time.

Do you make Turkey sandwiches the day after? or was all the Turkey gone? nosy me strikes again ... Lol!

It was nice to get back to normal on the holidays after not getting together at all last year.
I bet it was. I'm hoping our Christmas will be a bit more normal this year, but this new strain of Covid is making me nervous.

A lot of them don’t stay unfortunately. Every time we go on a hiring spree I would say out of every 10 or so we hire we probably lose half of them within a few months. It’s a glamorous job to a lot of people until they see what it entails.
Blimey, do you not get tired of training these new people only for them to leave?

One year I got back to the station and I noticed my bow was gone. And I’m sure it didn’t fall off cause they were tied on with zip ties. So yes, someone actually stole my bow when I wasn’t looking. Who steals a Christmas bow?
No! :eck: someone somewhere must've been pretty desperate to steal that bow. People can be unpredictable , locally we have had some Hospice charity collection boxes stolen from stores, how low can they go?

It was actually in the high 50s this morning, which is rare. It felt so good but now it’s early afternoon and it’s already 80 degrees again. So I went from wearing a jacket this morning when I went for a walk to sweating again now. It’s a very peculiar place.
That sounds divine to me right now. Years ago we used to get away for a week in winter, just to Spain for some sun because one of my brothers used to live there so we would stay with him, we daren't even think of travelling right now.

LOL, well you'll have to deal with The Enforcer if we don't get to #4625 at midnight on 1 December. I hope you can run fast. :brb:

This is what I was afraid of
So you should be my friend !

Michelle will do as much as I can to save you from the wrath of The Enforcer. :cool1
Beware! no one can escape the her anger once she erupts
vil-mechant.gif

LOL, maybe she wants to lash-out this time. :eck: If I had that power I'd do it all the time. I applaud 'Lashes for her restraint in using this power.
I try and keep The Enforcer under the radar because she tires me out for days when she has a lash out

’m trying to recall if I’ve seen a Lashout yet. I don’t think I have but I’ve read they’re not pretty.
Believe me DFF, you don't want to see it. Once seen never forgotten :yikey:

This one has no name as of yet. I saw it seperated from the other when I strolled in Monday morning. the flower lady was there but she was busy so I didn't ask. I left but later in the day my heartstrings kept telling me to make one final attempt as I worked out of town the rest of the week so Monday as do or die. I went back in at about 1:00/13:00 as the lady was still there and I asked if she had any rescues? She said she had this one and I took her home with me. She had yellow wilted flowers that have sense dropped. Her leaves were dehydrated but they have slowly come back to life.
Aw it was meant to be, that poorly wilted Orchid was waiting for you to come back Michelle.:)

Each plant has a story.
They do! and I love all the different stories. You might have to write two volumes of your book when the time comes :D

Have they met each other?
Yes Orkie and Pearl spent a week together, but they looked kind of awkward together, something wasn't right so I separated them again. It might be that Pearl is so much larger and I don't want Orkie to feel over-shadowed :Clol:

Orchid #14, Butterfly was the first to start a flower spike and they have all followed.
It sounds to me like they're all competing with each other, which is good!

Yes I did. I bagged them from the middle of September until early last week. They are turning colors but look ugly as their green summer leaves are not too well.
Maybe they will look better once they've turned completely red? this process still fascinates me, you're very clever to do this.

I have to take of photo of my Mother's 2018 Poinsettia as it's huge and very lovely.
What a fab sight this must be.

Are you going to make a forth attempt with a Poinsettia this year my friend? I see them everywhere in the stores.
Oh yes :cool1 as you know my middle name is 'Stubborn' and I'm determined to get one to last the year if I can. I will let you know once I buy one, are you getting another Poinsettia this year Michelle?

No shame in that Lashes! It can be quite addicting. I would never try it because I was never a coffee fan but one time I bought it by mistake and the rest is history as they say.

I even made Iced Coffee and put a dollop of the ice-cream into that
I have to try this. I actually like Iced Coffee once in awhile so I’d probably love this. It almost sounds like a float I’m guessing?

Do you make Turkey sandwiches the day after? or was all the Turkey gone? nosy me strikes again ... Lol!
Oh you can be a little nosy, it’s fine. I ate some leftover turkey the next day. I didn’t make sandwiches though cause unfortunately I was out of bread and was too lazy to go out to the store. Or maybe the truth is I was too hungry to go buy the bread and opted to tear into the turkey without it. Well, one of those is true. I forget which.

It’s making me a little nervous too. It just feels like there’s no end to it. I can’t even remember what I did last Christmas to be honest. I just want to forget that whole year.

Blimey, do you not get tired of training these new people only for them to leave?
I like training, don’t get me wrong. But it can be very frustrating, especially when they quit. The girl I trained on my old route got destroyed today with 136 stops. She’s never done more than 80 I’m guessing, and she knocked it out without a hitch. She even had time to call me and tell me all my ex-customers now love her more than they ever did me. But another person I trained complained all day today. She called anyone that would listen saying she needed help. And she had a grand total of 30 stops. That’s it. And trust me, I know she can do it. We have GPS, we have maps, we have tons of people that will help her put the stops in order. Just doesn’t want to try for some reason. So the girl with 136 calls me on her way home to tell me she had to go help the girl with 30 when she was done. I’m still laughing. So there are reasons I like training and then there are reasons I don’t. And you can see why obviously.

locally we have had some Hospice charity collection boxes stolen from stores, how low can they go?
Sadly, I do believe people do this. And that’s much worse than stealing a bow I’d say

No, traveling is definitely not an option right now. I’d like to think that will change someday soon but I’m not holding my breath.

I love seeing them together like this, they often have some strong eye-contact going on between them.

A cheeky Mr. Squirrel he is.

So cute! I love the little hands :D

Iced coffee is one of my treats, even in winter. I also like iced tea once in a while.... just telling you all this in the unlikely event you ever have to make a drink for me

I ate some leftover turkey the next day. I didn’t make sandwiches though cause unfortunately I was out of bread and was too lazy to go out to the store. All that turkey sounds delicious, I'm well jealous.

It’s making me a little nervous too. It just feels like there’s no end to it.
I've stubbornly refused to read or hear anymore about this new strain of Covid for the last couple of days.

I've lost so much faith in our government and especially our PM that I don't know what to believe anymore. I know I will have to face up to what's happening, but I just needed to cover my ears for a short while.

I can’t even remember what I did last Christmas to be honest. I just want to forget that whole year.
Life was very weird last Christmas. I sometimes wonder if in the future, long after we have all gone, if a disaster movie will be made about Covid and how it affected us all? it sure felt like we were living in a disaster movie.

Ooo Mrs Lazy! I think some people get jobs and are shocked when they actually have to do some work.

So the girl with 136 calls me on her way home to tell me she had to go help the girl with 30 when she was done.
Yep, she's definitely you DFF :D

Spain is another country I’d love to see! It looks so nice.
You'd like the weather there. One of my ex-colleagues sold up and moved over there earlier this year, right in the middle of the pandemic and Brexit. So far she is loving her new life and once the world settles down again I intend to go and visit her (she has invited me by the way lol) its only a two and a half flight from here.

Now do you remember what occurred during the lash out once you’ve recovered or do you forget the havoc you’ve unleashed on the land?
I honestly have no idea what happens during a lash-out. All I know is that once I come round and am back to being Long-Lashes again my whole body aches and I'm exhausted ... oh and sometimes my clothes are shredded :yikey:

Luckily my friend @Michelle Stevens has been there a few times and has ensured I don't injure me :loon:

Hope you've had a good week my friend. Are you thinking of having a new festive name or is it not your type of thing ... which is fine if its not :)

I also like iced tea once in a while.
I couldn’t live without iced tea. It’s so bad that when I walk into the supermarket now when they see me they go right over to the cooler where the gallons are and bring it to me. They know why I’m here.

I've stubbornly refused to read or hear anymore about this new strain of Covid for the last couple of days.
You’re better off. I can only take so much of hearing it myself.

All that turkey sounds delicious, I'm well jealous.
And I’m still eating turkey!! I just had turkey soup, which I’ve never had before. I bought it at Whole Foods after work. It was delicious.
