This is totally random, and I doubt it'll be a lengthy conversation, but what happened to Marie Osmond joining the B&B cast?

Apparently it was a "scheduling conflict," but who was she was supposed to play? Does anyone know? Is there any potential to her joining the show in the future?

From what I’ve read she was set to play Countess Von Frankfurt. I didn’t realize it never materialized considering how much hype it was getting just a couple of weeks ago. I know she said it was a big dream of hers to do the show someday.

Her character appeared backstage right before the fashion show. Her first scene was with Brooke and Donna, her second one with Lauren and Esther, where she complained to Lauren about Esther. Afterwards she actually watched the (very cheap) fashion show. This episode aired on October 27th. In typical B&B fashion anything that happens is far stretched, so the entire next episode she was still watching the fashion show and parts of the following episode she was still sitting in the front row watching the fashion show and then when it was finally over she was making a nice comment about it before disappearing. So she appeared in three episodes.

Why is the pacing so slow now on the show. I am watching the early years of it now and the pacing is so fast compared to now. They seemed to really charge ahead with stories in the early years. Now a person can be watching a fashion show for 3 episodes. WTF is that about? I know it's like 22 minute episodes or whatever, but still.

I think in a daytime soap I've never seen so many scenes in slow motion as in this fashion show. And unfortunately there is no one from the cast left who is so hot that you have to see his/her facial expression in slow motion. At least it was explained why the fashion show was so cheap - it was so exclusive that it wasn't even streamed and that's why there were no photographers, only Paris took pictures with her cell phone that she would later upload, something completely professional.

Was this the first fashion show they did in quite a long time, I’m wondering? It seems like they definitely got away from doing them in recent years. I’m assuming it may have been a budgetary thing?

There was one for Hope For The Future last November and unlike this year it had a catwalk, but I can't recall what happened in Rome earlier this year. I remember the kiss between Hope & Thomas, also Ridge & Brooke got back together, but was there a fashion show? All I remember is a photo shooting with Brooke and Hope.
