I can see why the DALLAS top brass were willing to pay VP megabucks' to stay on in 1987, as she seems to be a wonderful person to work with and is also a very talented actress, and very down to earth
But she clearly shat in someone's coffee cup and stole a few husbands because the rest of the cast apparently hate her.

I don't get the feeling Patrick Duffy or Steve Kanaly disliked her, her and Kanaly have been friends since way before Dallas started, she was also close to Charlene Tilton, I think she drifted away from the cast around 1982/83, there was something in the way she said "the first five years were great" after that not so much.

But others on here in the know have said the rest of the cast will not work with her again. Ever. They just wont say why.

That is not accurate. Interviews in recent years indicate that just like the rest of us, Victoria may not have gotten along with all of her co-workers, but she was liked by the majority of them.

That may be how Victoria feels. However something apparently went down at that Southfork Reunion thing for the DVDs and aint nobody wanting to work with Victoria ever again.

I should add, I love her. She was a huge draw for me as far DALLAS was concerned and the show was absolute shit when she left.

I think "liked" and "respected" or "respected because we know we're all part of the most successful drama series in TV history globally" are different things.

David Jacobs said Victoria "didn't have the best relationship" with the DALLAS brass, and lamented that this probably had a role in the lousy way Pam was written out in the script.

Victoria's reputation has always ranged from "smart" and "strong" to "wildly neurotic" and "brittle". And the fact is, she's probably all of those things.

Some years ago, a number of the female posters on here were asserting that she and Linda Gray were obviously mad at each other during the 2004 retrospective RETURN TO SOUTHFORK, and thought: "Oh, those silly women -- they were not," in just the way Cliff or J.R. might dismiss the observations of Afton... Until I watched it again and realized, "Oh, my God, they're right -- Linda and Victoria are totally pissed at each other!"

Victoria is a very complicated personality. Not every insult is necessarily true, but she can't just be praised 24/7 either in order for the commentary to be accurate.

They call it "show business" for a reason.

I doubt that anyone in the cast would ever say anything like that to anyone outside of their trustred inner circle of each other, families, and extremely close personal friends, even "off the record". Anyone can claim to be "in the know", so take what they say with a grain of salt.

Well that's all well and good of course. But you wont see Victoria at anymore Southfork Reunions.

I'm referring to interview answers by co-workers about Victoria, not answers by Victoria.

What you're "taking with a grain of salt" are the things which aren't complimentary for her. That's the only standard you have.

I have no issue whether Victoria and others like or dislike each other. It's what was presented on screen that matters. Shows like Dallas will always have huge personalities, these are actors/celebrities after all. I would imagine a work environment like this would manifest itself tenfold regarding egos.

I could apply the same rule to a workplace. I don't necessarily like every person I work with, but we/you work together because it's called professionalism.

I don't disagree with that. But some people only want certain off-screen personalities praised.

I don't know what happened at The Return to Southfork Reunion. But my guess is that something did happen since I remember, Larry, Linda, Patrick and Victoria were supposed to be guests at a talk show to promote the original TV broadcast back in november 2004 but for some reason only Larry, Linda and Patrick did the talk show.

Also VP were of course missing from the 30th Anniversary BBQ at Southfork in 2008.

I think that Gray is just jealous. I mean, VP has a phenomenal post-Dallas career and all she can do is appear in sh#t Dallas shows when she's asked.

Hagman, Gray, and Duffy are like the three Stooges in their mindset. VP, NOT!

So it's all about who has the most money??

Then I guess Priscilla was right -- Bobby did men her when he said "we should have been married!"
