Nearly all of Dallas' major characters were kidnapped. In Northern Ireland this doesn't happen quite so glamorously but more for a punishment beating of some sort.

8. Pam in the jungle
9. Bobby's mistaken kidnap (instead of JR!)
10. JR kidnapped by Joseph Lombardi

Similarly, just about every major Knots character suffered the same fate (and in most cases, several times). It's also notable that many times, the kidnappings/hostage situations were done in multiples (that is, more than one victim at a time).

I might add that this was the last scene I saw on Swedish television before they replaced it with Days of our Lives.
