I can clearly remember watching the first episode and the excitement around it. How time flies!

I remember it too!
I still love Buffy & Angel. In fact I rewatched Angel about a year ago and it worked better when I didn't think of it as the two hour Buffy & Angel show as it was being promoted as in the first season.

I know what you mean Christine. I'm the same way. Originally I loved Buffy more. But when I rewatched the shows I enjoyed Angel more and I have a feeling if I re-watch Buffy that might change again!

Yeah I think so. It's not perfect - it gets a bit convoluted on occasion - but it has an impressively strong sense of what it is and the characters are really good. It's interesting that it's gotten its start on iPlayer - it feels like it was made for a specific audience rather than a specific time slot. It's better than Torchwood in every way which isn't saying much, and in some ways it feels like a natural follow on from the Sarah Jane Adventures, with Katherine Kelly's character as a sort of anti-Sarah Jane.
