The prime minister of the Bahamas has said he will hold a referendum for the country to become a republic and remove King Charles as head of state. It follows the disastrous Royal tour by Kate and William to the Caribbean and the late Queen's failure to acknowledge the wrongs of colonialism in the region during her 70 year reign.
