I’m watching “ Black Mirror” it is strange but really interesting. There are 3 seasons, I can’t stop watching.

Anyone else watching the series?

Black Mirror is a British science fiction television anthology series created by Charlie Brooker . It centres around dark and satirical themes that examine modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. Episodes are standalone works, usually set in an alternative present or the near future. The show was first broadcast on the British Channel 4, in December 2011. A second series ran during February 2013. Then, in September 2015, Netflix commissioned a third series of 12 episodes, released in 2016. The commissioned episodes were later divided into two series of six episodes. The third series was released on Netflix worldwide on 21 October 2016. Filming for the fourth series concluded in June 2017, with the premiere expected later the same year.

Regarding the programme's content and structure, Brooker noted, "each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy." The series has received critical acclaim and has seen an increase in interest internationally (particularly in the US) after being added to Netflix. In 2017, the acclaimed series three episode "San Junipero " earned Black Mirror its first Primetimr Emmy Awards , for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special for Brooker.

The first episode is quite disturbing.

Episode 2.4. I didn't really understand the cookie thing. They took the cookie out and put it in a cookie?
Where does the cookie come from, we're not born with these things.
Still, it was wicked enough to be entertaining.

I watched that episode tonight. Wow, that was really really good.

And they keep using this old song:

I still remember the days when songs like this re-charted because of a popular commercial or movie.

Many fans on IMDB hate the series 5 episodes and I'm afraid it's not without reason.

"Striking Vipers" is the most typical BM story of this series and it's kind of interesting, but not very exciting.

"Smithereens" is all about Andrew Scott's acting skills (and he's very good but we already knew that) but the story itself is rather uninspired and has nothing to do with Black Mirror.

"Rachel, Jack And Ashley Too" feels like 3 stories crammed into 1 episode and the result is a disjointed mess with an anticlimatic finale, especially because they took the sting out of it.
I think there was potential for 3 great episodes (Ashley O & Catherine, the doll and the mousetrap).

I also happened to watch 3 random episodes of BM yesterday (I knew the Pilot but, let´s say, didn´t encourage me to keep on...). I chose "15 Million Merits", "USS Callister" and the infamous "White Bear". I loved the first one, had a lot of fun with the second, and got really scared with the last one. I like the actors are known but not top stars (at least in these ones but I do know there will be some), and the futuristic tone sort of reminds me of "Electric Dreams". Thanks to everybody for your opinions here! I´ll watch the whole series (probably).

Can you imagine to have a game to get into the world of your favorite show...?
Who of them would you be...or would you be a new character?

I have really been getting into Black Mirror recently. This is a good article from the Guardian that ranks all the episodes.

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...pisode-of-black-mirror-ranked-charlie-brooker

I've been making my way through them and tonight I watched USS Callister after already having watched their top 5 (which were all amazing). USS Callister is actually kind of genius. It's got the trademark BM headf**k and it's so clever and also quite funny. I always associate the lead actor with his role in Breaking Bad, where he also played an evil SOB, and I still have residual contempt for him from that:D, so it was nice to see him get his comeuppance here. And just when I was being all nostalgic about Breaking Bad it's Aaron Paul, who played Jessie Pinkman, whose voice comes on at the end as the gamer they meet online. Nice touch!

I'll continue to make my way up the list as so far I've found their ranking to be pretty spot on. 'Be Riight Back' which was at number one was really incredible.

Jesse Plemons also was great in the second season of "Fargo" as the husband of his real-life partner Kirsten Dunst. The first time I saw him I just had the impression it was Matt Damon in one of those performances "for your Emmy consideration" after having eaten 100 doughnuts a day...I loved the USS Callister too, it's so meta you can feel you are inside the episode...I´m gonna go back to BM one of these days...
