He developed mild symptoms less than 24 hours ago. In that time he has had a test AND been given the results.

The wording of Dominic Raab's statement this evening turned my stomach. Saying that he was confident Boris would "pull through" because "he's a fighter". As though the 81,000 people who have died from this simply didn't fight hard enough.

I'll say something.
Firstly, I hope he makes a swift and full recovery and gets back to work as soon as possible so he can be held to account for the shambolic way he had handled the Covid-19 crisis which has lead to so many unnecessary deaths.
It was only a few weeks ago he was boasting that he was still shaking hands with Covid-19 patients which would have encouraged others not to take the virus seriously and increased its spread.
Every day we hear of health care professionals who have died from Covid-19 because Boris Johnson failed to listen to the World Health Organisation and prepare for the pandemic. Now the NHS are left scrambling around trying to obtain personal protective equipment and Covid-19 tests when this should have happened months ago.
We went into this crisis with fewer intensive care beds per capita than any other major Western country and with 100,000 vacancies in the NHS because of government cuts. Yes, I'm sorry for Mr Johnson and I'm rooting for him to get better but I'm also sorry for the other victims of the virus whose plight had been made worse because of Boris Johnson's policies and decisions.
Being sick doesn't give you a free pass to have your failings ignored.

I find the deification of Boris Johnson just because he has Covid-19 nauseating and devalues the applause we give every Thursday for the NHS, care workers, supermarket employees and other key workers that have kept the UK running. I just hope when this crisis is over there is a full public enquiry into how it was handled and we see the entirety of Johnson's mishandling of the it.
We shouldn't be applauding this man, we should be holding him to account for the appallingly bad handling of the crisis which had lead to so many unnecessary deaths. If he was a CEO of a major company making these decisions, he would be up on a corporate manslaughter charge.

Well he did manage to get Brexit done. I guess some people are pleased about that.
I am not one of them though as importing movies, books and CDs from the UK have become ridiculously expensive with the new import taxes.

Because of Brexit and Tory anti-European sentiment, the UK missed three chances to be part of an EU scheme to bulk-buy personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers. So Brexit and our right-wing government have indirectly lead to our health care workers and social care workers dying due to a lack of PPE.
Stick that on the side of your bus, Boris Johnson.
