Brad Pitt says his favourite Sex Scene was on Dallas!

I'm curious: Brad Pitt guest starred as Randy in four episodes. Would you remember him if Brad Pitt hadn't become a superstar? Did you like Randy back then and were hoping to see more of him on Dallas or in other shows? When he got his breakthrough with Thelma & Louise in 1991, were you aware that he was Charlie's boyfriend from Dallas, or did you discover that fact at some point and were amazed that he once was on Dallas?
Not being the biggest fan of the Ray and Jenna storyline, I guess I really didn’t pay much attention to Randy at the time. It wasn’t until many years later that I even realized that it was Brad Pitt playing the role. When I purchased the dvd set sometime in 2013 was when I finally noticed him.

And frankly, I could tolerate Charlie much better as a spoiled bitchette than the "cute" child everyone pretended she was in the beginning.
I liked her better as the cute child actually. I loved her relationships and interactions with Jenna, Bobby and little Christopher. Once Bobby went back to Pam her whole persona changed.

if this clip of Charlie and Randy frolicking and cavorting around the Krebbs mansion to the sounds of Billy Idol's rollicking cover of Mony Mony didn't capture the zeitgeist of unfettered teen rebellion in the late 80s, I don't know what did!

(I couldn't work up the courage to make myself watch more than the first few seconds...)
ok, I actually did make myself watch it, and.. I really thought Jenna (and Ray in this particular video) were far more grating than Charlie actually was. Ray always sounds a bit to me like a little boy trying to sound tough when he does righteous anger, and his “strict stepdad” threats and reactions are way over the top.

I’m guessing the producers included these Charlie storylines to cater to younger viewers, but as with Mitch and Lucy constantly squabbling about money years earlier, I don’t see what the appeal is supposed to be. Shouldn’t the “younger generation” storylines be at least a little fun?

My problem with the initial "cute" Charlie was that she was cloying and I found it unconvincing. At least the nasty mini-bitch version read as true.

Ray & Jenna together was just plain gross in my opinion. And what happened to the beautiful and natural introduction of Priscilla Presley when she began her stint on Dallas. Priscilla appeared to age ten-fold by the time of her departure. Perhaps it might have been best to have Ray follow Donna to Washington.

But then he wouldn't have moved to Switzerland with Jenna and Charlie and opened up Krebbs Kuckoo Klocks!

Mind you I'm glad they left before us viewers went Kuckoo watching them any more! ;)

I'm still passionate about Dallas but some days it saddens me what was once riveting television descended into utter garbage.

Well I wouldn't actually go that far but some of those later seasons the quality of the writing just went out the window! :(

My biggest problem with it was the lack of chemistry between them. I just didn’t get it. I’m assuming it was just a case of not having anything else for the characters to do at this point. In my mind Jenna goes back with Bobby after Pam leaves but I guess that wasn’t going to happen.

I suppose Katzman thought it would be too obvious to pair Bobby with Jenna again.

A shame though because at least Presley and Duffy did have chemistry together. Presley and Kanaly had no chemistry whatsoever. :)

I guess they looked at the Bobby and Jenna thing as having been there, done that perhaps. Maybe they just figured moving them on to other people was the way to go.

Yeah but I think it was a pity they got rid of Dack Rambo. Jenna would've been better partnered with Jack than Ray.

However we knew that wasn't going to happen because of the homophobia on the Dallas set that Dack was subjected too.

My heart aches for what he probably went through because I know what it's like to be on the recieving end of homophobia. :(

I never had a problem with Charlie. Of course she was going to have issue after Bobby & Jenna split. She was a teenager & doing what teenagers do. My issue was with Ray & Jenna. They were terrible together. They should have had Jenna leave the show after she broke up with Bobby. I liked Presley & Duffy together, but put yourself in Jenna’s shoes. Start from the beginning of Dallas. She could never take Bobby away from Pam. Bobby broke his engagement with her because he still loved Pam. Then he wants her after Pam is gone? She was clearly his second choice. What woman would have wanted that?
