Do you have ideas for a Christmas-themed episode or movie? Mine would go as this: Miss Ellie goes Christmas Eve night to check the mailbox. Santa's sleigh goes out of control and runs her over. Miss Ellie winds up in the hospital, and Santa sticks around. He and Miss Ellie wind up falling in love. J.R. sees this as a business opportunity and becomes an evil toy tycoon like John Lithgow's character in Santa Claus: The Movie. A scorned Ex-Mrs. Claus kidnaps Miss Ellie and tortures her in captivity.

They were already in love. Keel & Bel Geddes were born to play Santa & Mrs. Claus, which is why the relationship worked as well as it did on screen. (Unlike Jock & Ellie, who were like Lucifer & Mrs. Claus).

DALLAS normally avoided holidays, and that was right for the show, but I think I might've added them in to the latter seasons -- a minor Halloween motif for Pam's last season (as the Wes Parmalee story is brewing), a Thanksgiving motif for Pam's first year missing or Sue Ellen's final year, and a mild Christmas motif for Season 13 (per DVD) while the Lady Jessica Montford murder spree is churning -- where Clayton & Ellie could dress as Santa & Mrs. Claus and deliver gifts to the family in the Southfork living room.

Nothing done to excess, you understand.

Another idea is inspired by Tim Allen. On Christmas Eve night, Clayton hears a noise downstairs. He comes down the stairs a sees a figure near the tree. When he demands to know his identity. The figure is quiet. Clayton grabs the shotgun out of the hall closet and blasts him against the tree. After turning on the lights, he realizes he killed Santa and is in deep doodoo with the North Pole and children all over the world. The Grand Elf arrives and tells him since he killed Santa, he is obligated to take over and there is no way around it. This leads to his and Miss Ellie leaving in 1990.

A Christmas Story is on TBS now. Perhaps J.R. makes a bet with Cliff if he sticks his tongue to a pole and it does not stick, he'll give him Ewing Oil. Cliff does this, and J.R. walks away laughing as Cliff attempts to free himself from it.

Miss Elliethe. Ray are home alone. A knock comes, and they are faced by carolers. Miss Ellie asks him to get the shotgun out of the hall closet. He answers, you'll shoot your eye out, b*tch.
