One of my favourite shows from that era was POPULAR. It was such a clever mix of teen-soap and absurdity and surrealism.

I vaguely remember parts of season one from when it first aired. It was fun from what I recall. It's online so I must give it a repeat viewing.

A rather nondescript FOX promo for Pacific Palisades. The funny thing about this promo is that none of the characters actually lived in houses like the ones shown. Their street was more "Knots Landing middle class" whereas this promo gives the impression that it's set amid the mega mansions of Malibu. Then again, the show itself was a mess so I'm probably expecting too much.

You have to laugh at those non-descript "Pacific Palisades" promo's where they brag about it being "provocative" - how? It looked like any Aaron Spelling soap at that point, lol. No wonder it bombed.

It was technically an ESPN SportsCenter commercial, but it was still pretty funny the way that they incorporated Melrose Place:

It's almost as if the show was so bad that they couldn't cobble together enough scenes to make a proper promo.

This promo is actually better the series. It's basically Melrose Place's greatest hits. Without all the painful boringness, I should have just watched this promo before investing time and money in buying and watching all the seasons.
