from what i saw they looked good 1st time round and i thought it must have been so hard on Noele and very bittersweet.

She spent half her life defending it - a soap and I still think the powers that be treated her dreadfully at the end

Yes, they really did. She was the best advocate the series had.

I cant believe i have been watching since February - its dominated my viewing for the past 4 months

Same here. It's been my TV event of the first half of this year and will stay with me for a long time to come.

I have also loved @Mel O'Drama s reviews and time and effort he has put into each review

I’m unclear of this nun’s motives. She certainly annoys Reg with her persistence and her lack of respect for his wishes for him to stay away from his property. She keeps barging her way in - insisting she’s more concerned with God’s wishes than Reg’s - and she glides through every scene with a permanent smile that makes her seem more arrogant than radiant.

The latest conquest comes from her having heard the voice of God and being called, quite literally, to serve him as a nun. And a Roman Catholic nun, to boo

Ive just got to this and oh dear that Nun is so annoying and that smile is even more annoying and smug - I do expect her to burst into song

She is a bit like Mr Benn, she appears everywhere and at any time and has absolutely no respect for Reg at all

I hope her stay is short and she is "off to the Nunnery" with great haste taking insipid Alison with her

I would have been referring her for a Psych review, reminds me of student days doing a mental health placement!! The voices and visions were a common thing - relating to a diagnosis of Schizophrenia or too much of the wacky baccy!

The impact of Iris’s actions on the Brownlow family has been quite heartbreaking to watch. It’s touching that Kath and Glenda have been resolute in their faith in and support of Arthur. All three have been wonderful. Peter Hill’s performance has been a standout. In a scene I watched yesterday he was stood telling his family that the situation had worsened and it only became apparent in the close-up shots that he was physically shaking.

It’s also been wonderful to see a fiery side to both Kath and Glenda. Glenda’s understandable fury at her cousin is particularly effective. It’s only really struck me as I write this that Iris’s lie is all the more reprehensible because Glenda is the genuine survivor of just such a trauma.

Ive just got to these epiosdes - Oh I want to slap Iris and give her a piece of my mind

I have been blown away by Peter Hill and his acting (Not by Iris's thats for sure - sniff) Its heartbreaking watching him tell the family what happened and being interviewed by the Soap Police. Its worthy of any soap award and he is very believable in the role, I know she gets her come uppance and I look fwds to that.
Its shameful what she did and that women are still doing it today

Some one called them her "iron cross" shoes - they are certainly something to behold and this photo just screams 1970s at you

Im loving them and I just dont want it to end, Ive watched pretty much nothing else but Crossroads in the DVD player since February - and i want more, I want more 1970s Crossroads too
I loved Doris standing her ground over the Royal wedding, Lady Diane Hunter lording it over the kitchen staff and wee Shughie checking out as chef and into the motel as a critical guest

David - cool and aloof and a changed personality has returned and Im not liking him or his treatment of Meg - its a different side to David and im feeling sorry for Meg (who has gone to Specsavers and wearing brilliant glasses) There is a lot of tension in that sitting room right now

I loved her scene with Jill discussing the death of Sandy and found it very moving

Im also rather liking Gilbert (surely Derek Nimmos cousin or should be) and his photos of Glenda and Kevs wedding and also of Diane

I did enjoy Glendas wedding, lot of crimpolene on show there - but what a let down afterwards in the Brownlows front room.

I did get rather fed up of Kate Robbins and More than in love being plugged at every opportunity and she wasnt much of an actress either - all those scsnes on Adam Chances boat (wonder if it was his own one) or on horse back in the countryside

Im also loving Arthur, Peter Hill is a treasure, but Kath / Pam Vezey grates and as you say is forever putting him down and why she feels any loyalty to Iris after what she did to Arthur, I will never know)

Ron has just returned as has Iris (not a fan, and she still cant act!) and if ever there was a Mrs Overall, its Mavis Hooper - she has only been in a couple of scenes but keep thinking Julie Walters and Acorn Antiques - she sounds like she is on 60 cigs a day and has a grey complexion

I know im slowly getting to the end of this wonderful run and i dont want to get off! I want more - and More Meg, and have to say half the clothes she wears wouldnt look out of place today - I dont want her to leave and go on the QE2 - but i might just need to start all over again

These were so much fun. It's always a treat to see Shughie after long months of just hearing about his offscreen exploits through other characters.

Aren't they magnificent. You'll be seeing a fair bit of these, and I think they're the same frame Nolly wore during the infamous press conference.

Same here. They're a great loss, and I keep thinking of series I had on my list to buy when they had their next sale.

I'm glad I supported them while they were around, and I'm glad to have quite a lot of Network DVDs lined up still to watch in the future. Here's hoping they somehow find a way back one of these days.
