Sounds intriguing. But I hope this doesn't mean you'll kill off Christopher...

No I don't believe in killing off main characters unless they die in real life. I also don't believe in replacing main characters. If they want off the show I'd send them away with a plausible story.

How they handled Jock was brilliant.

Miss Ellie with Donna Reed was the hight of stupidity.

Bobby - the simple fix. 1st thing in the season opener JR and Miss Ellie stand over Bobby in a coma hidden away. That way again - never kill a main character and they could have continued just as they did even with the ending that season where he turns around in the shower.

Never kill off. Never replace main characters. Maybe there are some exceptions where that worked but I'm betting they're exceptions. Like Chase in falcon crest - no body and Angela asking when are you going to tell Maggie you're alive. Killing Melissa studip. Killing Maggie - the end of the show. At least the we're smart enough to put Angela in a comma.

I agree with you about Falcon Crest. I was so mad when they killed off Melissa and then have her return a a doubleganger was even more stupid. :(
But at least the end of Falcon Crest was good with Angela standing overlooking the vineyard.

I'm glad to see that Chris is well. Seems like he's pulled off quite some coup and also found revenge for his grandpa's murder.

Also sounds like Lucy's been quite the heartbreaker over the years.

I was always partial to Falcon Crest but I knew when they killed Melissa the way they did it was over. And then when they killed Maggie the way they did - it was quieting time. The way they wrapped it up was brilliant - but they adhered to the rule of not killing main character so they could have the perfect ending. They also didn't replace people like the Donna Reed thing.

Chris now can't stand tall - he's a Ewing through and through. No doubt.

Lol - yea Lucy's left a trail of tears but only one man got to break her heart.

A long black limousine rolls down the driveway at South Fork. The family come outside to greet Chris. Emily walks up and gives him a long hug. Bobby pats him on the back.

Walking up to the house with Mateo Chris says we pulled it off, one of the biggest oil deals going, to develop plays in Maracaibo for DLV, Cedeno, Dortgo, PetroSino and Trident."

"That's a big risk you took," Bobby states. "The whole region has become unstable."

"Well good. The stability they had was a poor quality of life anyway. This will bring prosperity and freedom. And I took care of some family business."

Lucy says, "Enough talk of business, its dinner time. We're glad you're home." Lucy hugs him from the side as the walk, Emily still holding onto him from the opposite side.

After dinner the Ewing's make their way to the back yard. John Ross pats Chris on the back for a job well done. Chris and Emily head to their cottage. Beau tells them he's going go for a ride with Jordan. Lucy takes Sue Ellen with her I the art gallery, commenting on some of her paintings from New York arriving. The boys run off to the swing set.

John Ross sits with Pamela and watches them. She says, "I read Liam's report on BH Alcor."

"And?"

"We'll invest to get a board seat in the mining operation. I want in."

"And Mateo's report on rare earth?"

"Concerned. But while it identifies Russia and China's reserves, its vague on the US and Canada. Not very specific to US strategic reserves either."

"You'll be looking into it?"

"Of course. And you're looking into natural gas."

"Manama."

"Yes I read about their reserves. You think you can get your hands on any of it?"

"We'll work on it."

She smiles and they cuddle. "Say, I didn't want to bring this up earlier, but David Wendell. He flew down with Chris. What's going on with him?"

"Luis Cedeno described to hold onto him a bit longer."

"A bit?"

"George Demarest, the CEO of Trident, is meeting with the interim government about his release."

"Emily didn't even ask about him."

"I'm sure she was just worried about her husband?"

"Did Liam say anything?"

"He's down there now helping the with the finances of the new government. Ilargus Bank is looking to make some substantial to stabilize the country."

"Has Rebecca said anything about David?"

"Not to me. Looks like you're the only one concerned."

"Well that's a shame because I wouldn't say I'm concerned, just curious."

In the shower of his condo Chris washes up when two young girls step in to join him. In his arms, his hands all over them, all over him, he moans, "Money well spent darlin's."

Lucy gathers the family for a photo on the front lawn before Bobby leaves. Bobby sits in a chair surrounded by herself holding Jordan, Chris with Emily and Jeremy, as well as John Ross, Pamela and their four kids.

Lucy says to Bobby she understands staying away is better for Pam but they'd all like him around more often, that he's got a grandson and that South Fork is his home.

She walks him to his car talking about how Beau is mostly in DC now, so she's pretty much raising Jordan. She laughs a bit when he asks her about Mitch. She kisses his cheek and tells him to hurry back before he gets in his the back of a limousine.

John Ross steps into the barn with Jack to find Mateo sitting alone. "Hey, what's up bud?"

Mateo doesn't look up. "Rebecca sent me a text. She headed back to Europe. Doesn't know when or if she'll be back."

"What? She divorcing Wendell?"

"No idea."

"I'm sorry. Really I am." John Ross placed his hand on his friend's shoulder.

Lucy walks down stairs at South Fork as tells Barbara the kids are taking a nape.

Barbara says, "There's a woman at the road who says she's Arliss VanBuren, Miss Pamela's sister."

"Really? Pamela didn't mention her sister was coming for a visit. Send her up."

By the side of the house Lucy meets Aliss, a beautiful young girl. They hug. The girl calls her "Aunt Lucy."

In the house Lucy knocks on the study door. John Ross calls out "Come in" and they do. She introduced Arliss.

"Of course. We meet briefly on a trip to Chicago. How are you?" The two shake hands. "What brings you to Texas. Oh these are my associates, Mateo Ramos, Liam Wendell and Ling Dia. This is my sister-in-law Arliss VanBuren."

Pleasantries are exchanged and Lucy take Arliss out go show her around the ranch.

When they close the door John Ross turns to Mateo and says, "Find out why she's here." He then sits back down. "OK where were we?"

Liam says, "Luis Cedeno was elected the new president of Maracaibo. Beau's going down for the inauguration."

"Send a gift. An impressive gift for the people of Maracaibo. OK, Dia, I want you to replace George in running Trident. I not only want him forced out as CEO. I want him gone from the board." While he's talking to then he's texting, 'Did you know Arliss was coming to South Fork?"

He gets a text back,'NO!!!!!!!'

David Wendell meets with in his living room with Juan De La Vega and Sergei. David says to Juan, "Then who actually owns DLV?"

"An Argentina company called DLV Holdings. All I can tell you about that company is Amanda Welser is the President and she has a secretary. I've got an address in Buenos Aires. Oh and Amanda Welser is also a Vice President of Ilargus Bank, sits on the board of the Welser Foundation in Germany and sits on the board of Galicia Group."

"Nothing else?"

"There's a board of directors for DLV holding that Amanda reports too. I know she's one member and there are two others I believe, including a representative of the Galicia Group who use to run the company. It seems to me there's at least one other."

"Alright. We need to find out more about who's running this company." He then looks at Sergei and says, "I'm going to need your help to secure the board of Trident. I'm already hearing rumors that my son is going around meeting with board members for John Ross."

Chris says to woman walking into his office, "Welcome Ms. Welser."

"Amanda, please."

"Amanda it is. Welcome. I'm glad to get a chance to talk to you in person. How is your new job running Ilargus's Cattleman's Bank subsidiary?"

I'm glad that Chris is back safe and well. It was nice having Bobby stop by for a bit too. :)

I'm surprised Afton had another child with Van Buren as we never saw her when Afton returned to the show when Pamela was little. Also her marriage to Van Buren seemed to have been really miserable. But I suppose it might be nice for Pamela to have a half-sister.

stevew

Telly Talk Star
I didn't think about all that with Afton. I am a bit blurry on the later years but I wanted to give her extended family. I'll keep in mind with the character. Maybe I'll have her raised by her father in Chicago where Pamela barely know ls her. Be like John Ross and all the siblings held didn't really know.

As for Afton, if I were you I would change the last name of her daughter from Van Buren to something else and say that Afton got remarried again later on after we last saw her on the show (1989) and that Pamela's sister is from that marriage. I would have had the daughter raised by Afton and that man.

Good idea. Her name will be Arliss Fisher from Detroit, Michigan. Her father is billionaire robotics manufacture Dan Fisher. Afton had a thing for marrying rich men, I guess. They were married for a few years before Afton return to touring and the marriage ended. Arliss stayed with her father and went to her own (separate from Pamela) boarding school. I'll let the character reveal herself from there.

Chris sits up in bed with Amanda and says, "I better get going darling. Dinners at six sharp," while sliding out of bed.

Mateo says to John Ross, who's cleaning out one of the horse stalls, "Arliss Harrison, the daughter of late billionaire robotics manufacturer Dan Harrison."

"Late?"

"Front cover over the Wall Street Journal yesterday."

"Yesterday? Her dad died and she cones down to Texas?"

"The only child of Afton Cooper and Dan Fisher. Though he has three children from a prior marriage and one with his widow."

"I'll be demanded. Was Afton married to her dad?"

"No. She was married to Harrison VanBuren the third still. And Fisher was married to his first wife. Bit of a scandal. You really don't know any of this story. Made all the news."

"Do I look like I've got time to watch that bullshit?"

Mateo laughs. "Fisher ran for governor of Michigan and President of the United States. Pretty big deal when he died. Anyway, I've got the right people digging. I'll get back to you with the details."

"You better get me something on my mother-in-law. Apparently I don't know enough about her."

"Will do. I'm almost satisfied with the report on Juan DeLaVega. I'll get it to you shortly. I do know this afternoon he's been in a meeting David Wendell and Sergei Vaino."

"Really? OK. Let's see what they've got planned. And Chris meet with Amanda Welser just as you said. Went right to bed."

"He's predictable. At least Emily see's their marriage for what it is instead of expecting more out of it like my mother did."

"She seems to have her own little fun. That boy though seems to take things a bit more serious."

"Really? Keep on eye on him then. I don't want that cause problem."

"Already on top of it."

"I don't know what I'd do without you Mateo."

The family begins gathering in the living room for cocktails starting with Lucy and Arliss when John Ross walks in asking if they had a nice ride.

"Yes thank you. You have a beautiful place here."

"It belonged to my grandmother's family. The property's been added to over the years. Glad you enjoyed it. So what brings you for a visit?" he asks while handing the two woman a glass.

"Just to visit family. My Uncle Mitch lives in Dallas. And of course my Aunt Lucy. And my sister."

Lucy speaks up, "John Ross lives under a rock. He doesn't listen to any of the mainstream news. Her father died recently."

"Oh. I'm very sorry."

"Thank you. My father and I weren't close, so I'm still trying to process everything."

Emily and Chris walk into the room next. Lucy makes the introductions. The door bell rings and John Ross excuses himself.

They make small talk among themselves before John Ross interrupts, "This is Amanda Welser. A business associate. She runs the Cattlemen's Bank. This is my cousin Lucy. My sister-in-law Arliss, my cousin Chris, and his wife Emily. my wife, Pamela should be home soon."

The room engages in some more small talk before Pamela walks in with Liam. Lucy hugs him and says how glad she is he could come and that hated eating dinner without a handsome male escort. They quickly shuffle off to the dinning room.

Pamela approaches Arliss, hugs her and says, "I'm sorry about your dad. I didn't know if I should call or not." They then begin their walk into the dinning room.

"Your text was fine. Got me thinking, why not just go to Texas. I don't want to go to the funeral anyway. I mean real, and spend the whole time introducing myself as his bastard. Or listening to people talk about me behind my back. No thank you."

"I suppose you have a point. But wouldn't going help you?"

"I didn't know him all that well."

The family gathers around the table. Lucy introduces Arliss to Liam, Emily's brother. John Ross and Amanda talk about his taking Pamela and the kids on a vacation to Germany.

That evening everyone but Chris and Emily walk over to the rec house. Chris makes his excuses about having more work to do and Emily says she has a water aerobics class.

Off the back of a condo in Dallas, Emily slides into a hot tub and into Philip's arms. The hunky young man kisses her while removing her bikini top.

Lucy looses at pool to Liam, the undisputed champion. Arliss gives him a kiss on the cheek.

Amanda makes her excuses, that she really must be going.

Chris lies on top of a beautiful woman and after kissing her says, "So, Isabella, where is that husband of yours tonight?"

"Juan's been working all day. Some deal with Trident and then trying to steal from DLV."

"You do know how appreciative I am for all the information you give me."

Smiling she says, "I do, but why don't you show me again."

They go back to kissing.

John Ross and Pamela change for bed. Pamela says, "Are you sure my sister was cut out of her father's will?"

"Mateo said so."

"That's terrible. How could he do that? How could the rest of her family be ok with that?"

"I don't know. I thought you could have her talk to the company lawyers, see what they can do."

"What'll I say, my husband's spies said you were cut out of your dad's will?"

"Something like that."

Chris welcomes Long Dia to his office. "After all the nastiness between you and my family it's nice we can move on. I'm not sure how you ended up with John Ross's full support but good for you."

"What are you getting at Chris?"

"I'm just astonished my cousin includes you in his meetings out at South Fork. But then he's got a Ramos and a Wendell at those meetings too."

"I notice you're not there."

"That's because I don't work for John Ross, let's be clear about that. He reduced your family's business to rubble and now he's got you working for him. Just as he did with Liam. Not that, that idiot father of his didn't have it coming. And Mateo. Look into it. His mother put that money they blackmailed my father out of into one stupid investment after another. They done lost it all. And I bet you John Ross was behind it. That's how he collects you guys apparently."

"You asked to meet to discuss your cousin?"

"I heard he even got your US citizenship green-lined and then arranged a full presidential pardon for you and your wife not paying all the taxes you should. And she's not been in the country for how long? You two still married?"

Standing up Dia says, "I'm done with this."

"He know about this guy?" Chris slides a folder across his desk.

Dia takes it. Looks it over.

Chris comes walking up from the driveway to the back of South Fork when he hears John Ross say to him, "What did you meet with Long Dia about today?"

Chris notices him by the pool so he walks over and says, "Maracaibo oil. Why?"

John Ross stands. "I'm going to give you one chance to tell me the truth on your own."

"I told you the truth. Maracaibo oil. He's running Trident now. Remember? We had some details to iron out."

"That's what you want to leave this at? You called my man into your office and proceeded to make a case against him."

"What the hell are you talking about."

"You think I don't know Dia knew about the explosives in the Rec. House? You think by bringing it up to him you can blackmail him? You can only tear down a man if he lets you. Today ain't your day."

"So you're doing business with a man who nearly got us all killed! And that's OK? How about we go in there and tell everyone that fact. See what Pamela has to say. I'll stand on my record of honesty. Can you?"

"You done?"

"Until we go in and talk to the family."

John Ross punches Chris first in the face and then in the gut. He shoves him over and backwards into the pool. "You want to intimidate somebody you'd better move out of that glass house you're living in. You're daddy ain't her to protect you this time. I'll beat the shit out of you and ain't nobody here to stop me."

Lucy walks out of the back of the house yelling, "What the hell's going on?"

Pamela walks up from the driveway.

Chris pulls himself out of the pool saying, "I just found out Long Dia was in on the explosion that neatly killed us all and John Ross has been in business with him."

"I know Long Dia knew about it. He also helped us deal with the people behind it," Lucy says.

"You knew?"

"And if you'd have asked john Ross would have told you too. Instead you try using it to blackmail Dia. Dia ain't perfect. Lot has happened to him. But he's been there for us. So what are you now gonna play at now, you gonna do business like JR? Going behind people's backs. Blackmailing people. Not carrying who you hurt. Lies. Deceptions. You'd better watch yourself Chris. This isn't a game. This is people's lives."

"I was in that hospital. I'm well aware about it being people's lives. You remember?"

"I remember and I also remember how frightening I was to know someone was trying to kill us. Your father-in-law knew too. What are you doing about him?"

"I'm working on him, believe me."

"Good. But you better think before you go after someone in this family. Dia work for John Ross and were no going there, tearing each other apart. I've been through that. Now go get dried off." She turns and walks back in the house.

"I've told you before, we're in this together. I've got to be able to trust you. Only one reason for you to go after Long Dia. That's so you can go around me."

"What makes you the boss everything revolves around? I don't answer to you or Lucy or anyone. I wanted control of Long Dia so when I'm dealing with Trident Ewing Oil benefits. Don't pretend you don't use some of JR's plays when you need to. I'll keep doing what I've got to do. And if you want attack me when you think I over stepped my place, well next time I'll be prepared."

"I'll right. I'll make a deal with you. You stay off family and Liam and Dia, and we got no problems. You run Ewing Oil as you see fit."

"You forgot Mateo."

"No I didn't. You play that shit with him and I'd make peace with your maker. Now if you want to have a conversation about handling David Wendell, go dry off."

I'm glad that Pamela's half-sister showed up in town. What a bastard her dad was for cheating on his wife and then not including his illegitimate child in his will. Also speaking of fathers, I don't remember is Cliff dead or still rottening in that Mexican prison?

Is the Amanda from the bank the same Amanda Chris was sleeping with or another one?

She's got the Ewing lawyers on her side now. I'm sure she'll fair well. ;)

Cliff lives with Bobby, Pam and Rebecca on an island in the Indian Ocean.

Same Amanda. He's also sleeping with Isabella, Juan De Le Vagas's wife and could be Arliss soon. ;)

Six months later . . . . .

Chris gets out of bed in a hotel room and pulls on his underwear. Arliss turns and looks at him, holding the sheet to her naked body, "They won round one but there's still a lot to go through I guess with appeals."

"With that much money on the table there would be."

"I just want this mess behind me. I've been approached about writing a book about my father."

"And?"

"A lot of money. I don't know. If he'd included me in his will he d say no, but he hasn't left me much choice."

"Could be a big seller."

"That damn perv. It'd be huge."

Lucy walks in a park in Dallas with Mitch. "You should come to dinner at South Fork this evening."

"And what are you having?"

"I believe pot roast. John Ross is celebrating. He bought a winery in Texas that's now part of South Fork."

"Well good for John Ross. He seems to be having a good time of it. Nice family. Great business. Stay at home dad. How is Jordan?"

"We went to visit his dad in DC. It's become my job I guess to make sure he has contact with his father."

"That's a shame. How's the fight ending between John Ross and Chris?"

"Down to a low roar. Chris is so busy with all that oil money from South America coming in. Never seen him happier."

"I thought he was an environmentalist."

"Something's give way to money. He's proposed splitting up Ewing Oil."

"Really?"

"He wants the oil and gas business, will turn over the rest to John Ross and make me out a check."

"That's an about face from the guy everyone was saying was gonna save the environment."

"Well it was all about the money with him and John Ross. It's just John Ross had so much he doesn't think about it anymore."

Mitch laughs, "Chris does to you ask me."

"It's not about having enough. He wants to have more that John Ross."

"That's just ridiculous."

"Well I agree, but that's what it is."

"Your parents?"

"Doing well. Uncle Bobby and Pam are enjoying life in paradise. And always quite at South Fork. Sort of a quite before the storm."

Pamela sits on top of John Ross in bed, looking down at him and smiling. "Do I have to remind you I like to be on top?"

He laughs, "No darlin' you don't." He flips her into her back. "But sometimes I've gotta remind you it's me spoiling you that keeps you on top."

Struggling she replies, "I don't need you to let me." Not able to move she continues to struggle.

Smiling down at her and her effort he lets go and she's able to flip him over. "You're a bastard you know it."

"No I'm not. You go ahead and forget it. It's not bruit strength that keeps any man, or woman on top, it's the people who care about him . . . or her. And I do care about you Pamela. You mean more to me than the breath in my body darlin'."

"Don't go tryin' to charm me now. You've got you where I want you."

"Good."

They begin to make love.

In the early morning Pamela and John Ross have breakfast by the pool when a security guard says, "Mr. Ewing there's a Ms. Ramos at the gate."

Pamela looks upset.

John Ross says, "Send her up."

"You knew she was out?" He stands walking to the drive way as the security guard radios in his directive. "You should have told me!"

"It's gonna be fine."

"She's not taking Jack from South Fork."

"Of course not."

Elena gets out of a car and says, "Where's my son?"

"You don't have a son that I'm aware of."

"Stop messing with me John Ross. I want to see him."

"You want. That not how a mother speaks. What about what he wants."

"I'm his mother!"

Chris having walked up from the cottage says, "What the hell is she doing here? Are there a few people you didn't get killed you're back for?"

"That's not fair."

"What's not fair is me nearly dying over the people you brought into our lives."

"I don't care what anyone has to say. I'm here to see my son. Jack is my son. I want to see him."

"You're not going to!" Pamela snaps.

"Stay out of this. You manipulative bitch."

John Ross smacks her. "You watch how you speak to my wife."

Shock Elena says, "Just let me see him. I've got a job done in Houston. I'm putting my life back together. I deserve to see my son."

"Deserve," both Chris and Pamela say at he same time.

Lucy walks out of the back of South Fork with Jack and John Ross says, "Lucy! What the hell are you doing?"

"Ending this before it gets out of hand. Go a head Jack this is your call."

Jack approaches Elena and says, "Can I help you ma'ma?"

Elena reaches out, "I'm your mother Jack."

"I know who you are. Elena Ramos but that's my mother Pamela Ewing."

"No. I'm . . ."

He cuts her off, "Cats give birth Ms. Ramos. That doesn't make you a mother."

She starts to cry. "No please listen."

"Are you hear to tell me you haven't been in prison for conspiring with corrupt trash?"

"No. Please listen. I know what they told you."

"They told me you existed. My Uncle Mateo told me about you. What you did. About Nicholas, that theirs a change his my biological father. That you got Uncle Drew killed by hanging around these people. That you almost got Chris killed. That you blackmailed Uncle Bobby."

"JR Ewing stole from your grandfather."

"My grandfathers are JR Ewing and Cliff Barnes, two of the most powerful businessmen Texas ever knew. They fought each other, not people like your father. Uncle Mateo showed me. Grandpa Cliff lied to you. None of what he showed you was true. He dragged you into his fight with Grandpa JR. You were stupid and stupid is dangerous."

Crying Elena says, "No. It can't be true. I love you Jack. I always have. And Your father. I've always loved him, but you don't understand, what happened. How Chris always . . ."

"I don't care. There's a red dot in your forehead. That'll be Uncle Mateo looking out for me. I've made good with Carmen and meet her sister Teresa. You I don't want to know."

"Please," Elena cries.

"Do yourself a favor and go back down to Houston. Pull yourself together and start over. And this time don't destroy everything around you because you're so damn sure you're right and everyone is wrong. I'll call my godfather, Carlos DelSol, ask him to make sure you have a good job. Now please go away."

Elena looks at John Ross and then at Jack. Then back at John Ross and says, "I still love you. I always have. I always will." She then looks at Jack, "I know I made mistakes but I'll always love you. It's why I gave you up when you were born." Elena gets back in her car and drives away.

Six months later . . .

A television news reporter says, "Michael Weston's will reveals the childless, ninety-two year old billionaire has left his entire seventeen billion dollar estate to his widow and seventh wife, Elena Ramos Weston. Before his death his investment company, Las Animas, had been buying up shares of the Trident Corporation . . ."

Nicholas Trevino watches the news report.

I feel bad for Elena. I honestly think she deserves better than this. Also, no kid talks the way Jack does.

Why can't she form a relationship with her son and have a friendly relationship with Pamela. Women don't always have to be romantic rivals.

As always I love you stories. Hope you update soon. The criticism is meant to be constructive.

stevew

Telly Talk Star
Thank you. The idea was to show that he isn't just any kid. Like his Grandfather he is exceptionally bright (I always thought that JR was probably gifted), probably an IQ of 160. He is also highly sensitive and knows he's different then his siblings, so he must defend that he is a Ewing and that he belongs with Pamela.

I debated bringing her in as I grew to really dislike the character. She became a dangerous hypocrite. She was cruel and thoughtless and manipulative - and believe she was virtuous and the victim. Having said all that I agree, no one deserves to be spoken to like that and she did act out of love for her son when she gave him up.

Also note, his parents merely stand by to protect him. They have never lied to him and they have never talked about the bad stuff his mother did. He got that from Elena's brother. The idea is when the family pieced together what happened they blamed Elena for Drew's death. They all hated Nicholas (maybe even feared him) but when it came down to it Carmen could forgive herself for her part and so cannot forgive Elena. It is the Ramos family that filled his head full of disgust for his mother - and of course the Ewings are good at building up the praises for being a Ewing.

So the question is now what? The end was meant to remind you of Alexis on Dynasty - suddenly rich enough to fight back. By who dies she fight? John Ross? Is she mad at him or does she love him? Does he have any feelings for her? Pamela? Other than taking away Chris years ago why would she be mad at Pamela? Did she ever want Chris? Mad at Chris? She nearly got him killed, what she got against him? Mateo - her bother, who hates her, does she have reasons to go after him, a man money can't fight? How about Nick, where does he fit into all of this? What about Lucy? This is her family and she is not a woman to mess with. She, more than anyone, learned from JR, how to do what needs to be done to protect her family. Does Elena threaten the family? Is there something else going on between Lucy and Elena we don't see?

Oh and thank you very much. Statements like your get me to think :)

While she was a hypocrite, I understand where she came from. Her father died and it traumatized her brother. She received word that it was JR, a man who in the end always chose himself and destroyed lives by just touching them. JR was not a good man, not a good father and not a good husband. His negative qualities far outweighed his positive ones.

I believe she deserves a second chance. Who's to say she and Pamela couldn't get along? She probably grew in prison.

Though I don't really know why she went to prison. She did not do anything that bad. At least nothing bad enough to warrent a 7/8 year prison sentence.

I agree with what you say about Elena and even deserving a second chance. Pamela's no saint herself. But they both care about Jack like a mother, nurturing. John Ross is more paternal, more pushing his son to man up - kinda like Jock.

Sometimes innocent people go to jail.

Lucy sits having lunch with a friend of her's, "Oh come on. He left everything to your foundation until he married her. Don't tell me that old man was in his right mind. Hell I don't think he ever was wired correctly."

The woman laughs, "Is that the truth. I feel bad for his nieces and nephews. They'd each been promised a hundred million, until the wife's latest will change. But what can I do. We don't have that kinda money to fight it out in court."

"I'll fund you. What ever you need, I'll cover the lawyers. We'll stop that money grubbing whore from doing this. I promise you. I just need you to keep my name out of it."

"Certainly. What ever I can do to help. I know your family has a history with her."

"That's putting it mildly. When Chris was fighting for his life that whore tried to get them to remove his life support."

"No way."

"Bobby didn't know what to do. He was a mess. The courts opened up his will and there was my name. His sole heir so they turned over his care to me. Here I was caring for my uncle who was catatonic and now I had to make life and death decisions for Chris. She wanted his estate to stop John Ross from taking over. Begged me to help her with Chris's child, that turned out to be John Ross's. Whole time she was in contact with Nick who was under investigation. I just wanted her gone."

"I can only imagine. The media is making a meal out of her collusion with the drug cartels."

"Honestly, most of that was made up I'm sure. Just being associated with Nick Trevino."

Mateo walks into a room where Nick sits. He turns around to face Mateo. Mateo points his gun at him and shoots him in the head. "That's for my brother."

Pamela goes horseback riding with Jack. They talk about Elena and how desperate she was when Nick Trevino was being investigated. She assures him the Ramos's aren't bad people. Then she warms him not to put the Barnes and Ewing families on to high a pedestal.

John Ross comes ridding up. "Hey. Can't keep up?"

"Please dad. You know better than that." Jack takes off racing across South Fork.

Pamela says, "I wish he wouldn't do that."

"Well he's part Southworth you know." John Ross takes off after his son.

Chris approaches Lucy on her way from
the driveway to the back of the house. "You said you'd handle Elena. What did you mean?"

"Exactly that. She's dangerous. The people she hangs around are dangerous. I don't want her near any of us."

"Good. I want to see her destroyed. She'll never be anything but a gold digging little slut. You hear they found Nick Trevino's body? Wonder how much he left her?"

"No I hadn't heard. What happened?"

"The figure some crime associate of his did him in. I was thinking it might be you."

"Me?"

"John Ross said you vowed to kill him when I was in the hospital."

"Well yeah, but no. It wasn't me. Can't say I'm not happy about it though."

"No me neither."

Elena looks over a stately home in suburban Dallas. The real estate agent, having been on the phone says, "I'm so sorry. I have to take this. Be right back."

He leaves the room and Mateo enters. "Why would you look to buy a house here?"

"Mateo!" Elena is over joyed to see him and goes to hug his brother.

He puts his hands out toward her, "We're not family. I thought I told you that. Mother told you. As far as we're concerned, you're dead."

"Please Mateo. Please I know there were things I did . . ."

"Give me one single reason I shouldn't just kill you now and be done with it."

Horror strikes her face.

"You took care of us when papa died. I remember. When Carmen couldn't even get out of bed. When we were hungry somehow you came home with food. You even got to South Fork to get help from Bobby Ewing and Aunt Teresa. That's why you're not dead right now."

"Please Mateo. Help me. Like I helped you. I just want to see my son. Try and make things right."

"He's got a good life without you. You should see the kid at school. Remember how you to read stuff to John Ross in college? How bad at school he was? Jack's the complete opposite. He's doing high school math."

"Really."

"He loves Pamela."

"I don't want to take that from him."

"You couldn't if you tried."

Pamela and John Ross argue by the pool over Elena. Pamela things she should be allowed to see Jack. John Ross says it's too dangerous.

Jack comes up and says, "I don't want to see her."

Pamela leans over and holds his face, "Oh sweetheart. It's ok. It will be good for you."

John Ross snaps, "Stop babying that boy!"

Jack turns in his father, "Don't raise your voice to my mother!"

"Boy don't come between a man when he's talking with his woman."

"I mean it dad. Don't!"

Lucy stands next them and says, "Jack you got it all wrong. This is how Ewings handle arguments," and shoves John Ross in the pool.

He comes up laughing.

Pamela covers her mouth to stop her from laughing.

John Ross says, "Now don't go away mad."

Lucy leads Jack into the house.

Pamela helps John Ross out of the pool. "And I'm sure she agrees with you over Elena."

"Of course she does darlin'. I'm right."

Pamela shoves him back in the pool and walks in the house.

John Ross comes up laughing, "What a woman."

Nice way to reintroduce Elena. It really stirs the pot some. :)
Honestly though I think she loved Christopher more than John Ross and considering what a bastard Chris is in this story I think he and Elena deserves each other.

Also I felt a bit bad for her when Jack refused to see her. I can understand why as Pam and John Ross has raised him since he was a baby. So how old is he supposed to be now again?

Loved Lucy and Mitch scene. :)
