At the time I didnt know the name Leonard Katzman - who wrote, directed and or produced Petrochelli.

Yes, he produced the last few seasons of GUNSMOKE, leaving in the middle of Season 20 to go produce PETROCELLI -- which was not to GUNSMOKE's benefit: the first half of Season 20 under Katzman was great, the second half (with a new producer) drooped into dark ponderousness badly, and the ratings followed suit -- resulting in its cancellation (the CBS brass was already hot to kill it).

Donna Mills guest starred in a two-part episode of GUNSMOKE with two titles for the price of one: "A Game of Death...an Act of Love"

Yes, a two-parter, and Punk Anderson played Abby Cunningham's father.
