JR did call him Daddy once - albeit ironically.JR and Bobby needed to call him Daddy or Sir if your theory is right.
You managed to convert me, now you need to work on the extended family.
She didn't seem to feel that way about herself, though.Miss Ellie really set women back. She would always imply that a woman couldn't make it on their own.
Miss Ellie really set women back. She would always imply that a woman couldn't make it on their own. And on top of that, she knew how JR was. Why would she in a roundabout way tell Sue Ellie to go back?
Possibly to see how many bottles of Vodka Sue Ellen would put in her suitcase!
Well, you never know!![]()

Would Jock have liked Clayton?
I think Jock and Clayton would have been friends for the same reason that Jock and Punk Anderson were friends. They are just different enough to keep things interesting.
If Miss Ellie hadn't met Jock, she might have ended up with a person like Clayton. She was attracted to each of them for different reasons.
Just like I'm a fan of Jock for different reasons than I'm a fan of Clayton.

What a marvellous thought!!I think Da Man would have seen Clayton as "that mustached guy who lives alone in that tacky ranch in San Angelo. I´d say I b*nged his sister a few years ago...but don´t tell Miss Ellie!"

Those two I´d have killed to see together! Maybe Jock fathered Dusty too!
Yes indeed that's so right, far too many enablers!I've always said, bad people don't stay bad on their own. They always have a slew of enablers.
Just how many times did Bobby say?
"It wasn't entirely JR's fault."
I'm always torn between the two Southforks. The original one suited the mini series with it's imposing and dark, dramatic feeling, but the iconic second one was right for the it's continuation and progression. We needed the bright sunny outdoors with that little pool!Southfork - 2nd
Gary - 2nd
Digger - 1st
I think the writing was better for David Wayne. I think that Keenan Wynn, who is an excellent actor, could have been more compelling with better writing.I'm always torn between the two Southforks. Absolutely agree with you on Gary and Digger.

That, and for some reason Wentworth was holding this meeting in the Southfork study...The picture Billy Wall posted is accurate for it's time.
The one thing we are NOT proud of in Texas is that picture. All rich, middle aged white guys.

In a stunning display of arrogance, they figured only rich, middle aged white males should be allowed in a boardroom.

Good eye. I didn't catch that.
