Jay swims up to a beau full girl in the midnight light of a full moon. He seems a bit drunk, telling her to “shhhhhh.” She kisses him and walks out of the water. He appreciates the view of her body in a white bikini. He quickly follows her. “You know how rare it is to get this house to myself?”
“Well it’s the first time I’ve been over.”
He leans over her, “Let’s see. My grandmother is in London. A friends party or something. My Uncle Bobby is in California with his wife. Chris and Amy are in Chicago meeting with architects. They’re finally working on moving out. Lucas has moved out. Lucy’s, who ever knows where Lucy’s at. And my dad took Steven on a fishing trip.”
“Wow you gotta a lot of people living here.”
“Yeah we do. And I’m suppose to stay. This is suppose to be my house.”
“You don’t want it to be?”
“I don’t know what I want,” he says rubbing her breasts, “other than you right now.”
“You want me? How bad do you want me?”
“oh darlin’ I ain’t ever wanted something so bad.” He goes to kiss her and winds up sucking on her neck. She looks up.
Lucas stands in the balancing watching and gives her thumbs up.
Josh Ross and Steven walk-in into a rustic cottage in a wooded area off a secluded late. He’s explaining that it’s OK to be grossed out by worms and fish and that he doesn’t have to worry about it, they grossed him out too for a long time.
JR says, “Yeah but you got over it.”
“What are you doing here?”
JR says, “I heard you went fishin’. It is my huntin’ lodge,” as Steven runs up and hugs him by his legs.
Steven asks, “Are you gonna go fishing too?”
“I just might. Would you like that?”
“Of course I would.”
JR muses his hair, “Well first thing next morning we’ll do just that.”
“Is there something special I owe for this visit?”
“Nothing at all. Just wanted to see my grandsons. Where’s Jay?”
“He wanted to stay back.”
“Yeah I bet he did.”
“He’s seventeen. I think he’s old enough to be in how own for a couple days.”
“You know he’s got a girl over, right?”
“It’s the one thing you taught me well. Know everything that’s going on around me. But I think at seventeen I’ve gotta give him some privacy.”
“I’d agree with you. Except this girl’s been hired by Lucas. I told you, you can’t trust him.”
“What are you saying? Lucas hired some girl to seduce him?”
“That boy’s trouble where ever he goes. I told you that. You think that kid made all that money by playing nice? But it’ll be a good lesson for Jay.”
“You’re something else.”
“I told you I’d fix things up. Didn’t I say, show a little interest in the ranch and your Uncle Bob’ll give it and the house to you. He’s chomping at the big to get to California.”
“That why you helped Aunt Pam?”
“Sure wasn’t to get her back to Dallas. No I realized that maybe it was better off he move away and move on. And I told you, be careful with Christopher.”
“I’m not worried about him. He wouldn’t hurt family.”
“No I suppose not.”
“Can’t say the same about you?”
“Me?” JR laughs. “What about you. You been playin’ them like fiddles.”
“Some people just to easy to pass up. I’m proud of you.”
“For what?”
“I never was very good at sharin’. You sharing Ewing Oil. Even finding a way to rein Chris in with Richard Channing and your cousin Lucy. I gotta say, it was a good plan. They’re two people on your team you wanna gave. I know I under estimated little Lucy all these years, but I’m impressed. And not a one if them gonna stand in the way of doing’ what’s gotta be done. And while the oil industry makes some pretty big adjustments, you gonna be prepared to sit back and watch others get their hands dirty.”
“Uncle Bobby wants me as Chairman of the Board, Chris as President and CEO. Lucy in the board. Richard Channing and Greg Sumner.”
“The Senator?”
“He’s retiring this year. He figures his being a former Secretary of the Treasurer and U.S. Senator would be a good idea. I guess he’s a friend of Uncle Gary’s as well.”
“Something like that.”
“We’re in the prices of looking for two more external board members.”
“Alright then.”
“I want to know why tell Lucas he’s Bobby’s son. Why’d you do that? We had everything well in hand.”
“I didn’t. It came to my attention. I’m just tryin’ to get out in front. I don’t know who’s been gettin’ at that boy. But he’s a stick of lit dynamite.”
“You swear this wasn’t you?”
“I don’t lie to you boy.”
“Well it’s the first time I’ve been over.”
