Back when my parents had cable, my dad watched a channel called Grit TV, which, as you can imagine, shined light on Westerns. He'd record movies from there and it became something of "appointment viewing" for my dad as he loves Westerns and likes discovering new ones or rediscovering those he had forgotten about.
He would call me frequently and we'd talk about some of the latest Westerns he had watched. He'd brag about this one or that one, but one criticism of his was loudly clear -- he didn't like the few he had seen with Angela Lansbury as the female lead. Now my dad was a decent enough fan of MURDER, SHE WROTE when it was new, but he found Lansbury ill-suited the rough and ragged Wild West stories.
I don't know which Westerns he saw Lansbury in, but he wasn't a fan.
