we had Entertainment Tonight on well tonight and it showed video of her saying that he beat her am i the only one who could easily tell she was acting and rather badly may i add. now i dunno if he uses drugs or how much he drinks to be fair he just might i dunno that could be a legit problem that Depp has i have no idea but i have a better time believing that than Depp has issues with drugs and booze than him hitting her. i have yet to hear anyone he dated or was married to who said that yes he does hit women. has anyone?

I think his exes have defended him... Amber is what her detractors say she is --- and she's going in hard on her tales of assault in order to win the case and to win over the public and her industry (an industry which has washed its hands of Johnny due to Amber's accusations).
She will likely win the case because libel cases are very hard to win. Once that happens, her team will -- of course -- assert vindication (and some of the "activists" will get on board with that).
The public now knows who and what she is. But Depp's career is unlikely to recover.
How much her career is affected is anybody's guess.

I think you'll find both have had their careers tarnished by this ugly court case. Johnny has had a very good career up until this point so I hope he has invested wisely. Amber on the other hand I don't find appealing in anything she has done. I've read her role in the next Aquaman movie has been reduced to just 10 minutes of screen time...ouch! I cannot see any studio wishing to employ them based on the negative reaction from this court case.

before the divorce she had a shit load of movies in development you should have seen his IMDB page one of them was one of Kevin Smith's next films whenever he gets around to making it that is and i think he may even do it cause Smith is a fan plus it's really easy for Smith to get him because Smith's Daughter is best friends with Depp's daughter and has been since they were kids. if i recall he did smith's films for i think free i want to say? i could be wrong on that of course and they worked well together cause he has done more than one film with him to boot. Depp hasn't had a hit in years even if his films are good that he picks he hasn't had any good luck in films for ages sadly. i do not really follow Heard's films to be honest but as i said she i think is a good actress but sadly as a human being... on the other hand.... i've never been married or divorced for that matter but why not just divorce someone without killing their career? did a pretty public to a degree anyways divorce from Billy Bob Thorton he cheated on her with the maid so she got rid of his ass and i can't say that i blame her either.
she didn't say oh he beat me etc... she wasn't out to kill his career either nor was Depp's wife that he was with for what 20 years or so? or 17 years i can't remember how long they were married. i haven't really been following the case so my apologies if i get certain shit wrong. some celebs make sure that there courts are private and keep them that way for those i'm not gonna lie i am curious on why they got divorced but i don't lose sleep over it either. ya know if Depp had a history of beating women that he was either married to or dating than i'd say put the bastard in jail for abuse. as we all would but when there is not a history and anyone with common sense can tell she's acting albeit very poorly may i add but acting never the less it should be a win for him i think but knowing how things sometimes work i would not be surprised if she does end up winning even if it is so wrong that she will.

Last night, SNL did an ultimately vile sketch about the Amber-Depp trial where her lawyer is the competent one and Amber's violence and boudoir defecation are brought on by Johnny being a self-confessed "nightmare."

i saw someplace online where it said she's still claiming to be the victim i've never met Depp but Generally i haven't heard that much bad shit about him so yeah i admit i could be wrong. there are 2 people in a relationship of course so yes there are 2 sides but does anyone believe he's guilty of any of this shit that he's being accused of?

It's very difficult for plaintiffs to win libel suits, so Depp will likely lose.
Don't assume that "everyone knows" Amber is a lying sociopath --- although they do, because some won't care and will align themselves with her solely because of gender issues.
If you pay attention to mainstream media in the States, they've been bending over backwards to try and validate her and keep Depp as the villain because that's still the narrative preferred, as evidence by the "spin" in that SNL skit, let alone the press... So if Amber wins (and she likely will, given the legal burden of proof not benefitting claimants) the media will do what her lawyers will do: pretend she's been cleared and that Depp is the male monster we enjoy.

It will be such a travesty if she wins. Apart from the fact that she's so obviously lying on the stand, none of the audio supports her story with her as the victim, quite the opposite. I'm hoping Johnny's lawyers will be able to catch her out and expose some of her bare faced lies for what they are.

Legally, it's tricky. Depp and his lawyers lost their UK suit against a tabloid and probably know their lawsuit against Amber probably won't work -- but it was an opportunity to get their evidence out there in the court of public opinion, so it arguably will be worth it even if he loses.
For that reason, I'm resigned to the probability that he won't be victorious legally.
What will be appalling is the mainstream media's pseudo-feministic Believe All Women resolve when they cover Amber's "win".
Domestic violence and assault of various kinds is a real problem -- always has been and I'm afraid it always will be. Yet only certain kinds seem to matter.. But this is about a woman's right to lie and lie with impunity -- and if you put a stop to that, then you really do smash and bring down the patriarchy.
