Even though I didn't vote for her myself I think her victory is well deserved.

Much rather Belle than that horrible Cinderella. I cannot stand her playing the victim. Just move out. You have enough animals to help you in the forest. Your biggest dream is to attend a ball? Try dreaming of becoming independent instead.

So... don't get me started on Cinderella.

I’m glad I didn’t post mine yet because I misunderstood as well. I read it just like @Jessie did.

But considering my opinion on spaghetti I think her #1 scene should be allowed to stay. Pasta can be a magical thing!

I misinterpreted it as well. I am glad Belle won the last round. I would have voted for her if I had voted before it closed.

Let's see magic moments. I can think of some.

1. The spell is broken and the beast turns into a handsome prince (Beauty & the Beast)
2. Ariel gets her legs and becomes human. (The Little Mermaid)
3. Cinderella's carriage turns into a pumpkin (Cinderella)

1. The Evil Queen Transforms Into The Old Peddler
from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs

Of course the transformation itself is a terrifying thing to behold. But I especially love this scene for its gothic atmosphere and mood, and the descriptive way the ingredients are brought to life both in dialogue and visuals. It's one of the best scenes in any Disney film.

2. Spellbound Aurora Is Led To The Spinning Wheel

Willie summed up the brilliance of this tense and suspenseful scene earlier in the thread.








3. Maleficent Bestows Her “Gift”
from Sleeping Beauty

You've got to love someone who gets creative in response to social exclusion.






4. The Apple Of Sleeping Death
from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs

Look... on the skin
The symbol of what lies within
And now, turn red to tempt Snow White
To make her hunger for a bite​

And then she revels in the idea of Snow White being buried alive.







5. The Enchantress Reveals Herself And Beastifies The Unkind Prince
from Beauty And The Beast

The Prologue is one of my favourite parts of the entire film. Especially the creative way this story is told through beautiful narration over stills of stained glass window panes. Because this silent cameo is the only appearance of the Enchantress it creates a mythic mysteriousness and I find myself as spellbound as the Beast.







6. Magical House Cleaning
from Sleeping Beauty

It's a fun scene in itself - and who doesn't like the idea of using magic to save doing chores and dressmaking? But it also becomes an important moment to the plot as it leads Maleficent to her prey.







7. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
from Fantasia

Perhaps the most iconic display of magic in all of Disneydom.







8. Poor Unfortunate Souls
from The Little Mermaid

Ursula gives Ariel legs and takes her voice... Broadway style.







9. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo
from Cinderella

For its multiple displays of magic. It doesn't get any more Disney Princessey than this.







10. The Beast Transforms

For capturing the tone of magic Disney scenes of yore.

There's also a certain camp factor to it that makes them great Monologue Quotes To Wash The Dishes By

The animation of the facial expressions to make these dialogues come to life is simply out of this world. Not one single detail has been overlooked.

Some versions of Snow White do something similar by destroying or stabbing the magic mirror.

5. Ariel and Ursula's contract. A great show from start to finish.

6. The cave of wonders reveals itself to Jafar


7. Merlin and Mim's wizard duel
It's mostly for comedic effect, but the way Mim emerges from the water adds a little suspense to the scene.

8. Lady Tremaine's time travel spell (Cinderella III)
The magic sequence of un-doing the story is surprisingly effective, also thanks to the soundtrack.

9. Peter Pan and the kids fly over the city

10. Wart removes the sword from the stone

Perhaps more mythological than magical, but the scene never gets old.
