I'd like to -- I've never been to Southfork at all. But it seems really unlikely.

I'd like to but I probably wouldn't. My dad used to say that Dallas was his favourite programme but the anniversary of his death is the 2nd of April. So I'm conflicted.

That's actually quite a poignant tribute...if you were to go I mean

You can get a 10% Discount now by using the Promo Code DallasFanzine. Just saying.

Thanks for the info Garry. I'll remember that if I'll decide to go for it.:)
Although sadly 10 dollars off doesn't make that much difference when we are looking at international flight prices of 800-1000 Euro/person. :(

Same here. It's on my bucket list. When friends and family question my wish (sanity) to visit Southfork I simply respond by asking what is on their bucket list to visit. They will usually come up with similar reasons. My 80 year father recently returned from New Zealand and at the top of his places to visit was Hobbiton.

Couldn't wipe the smile off my dad's face as he proudly showed his sons his home movie of the place. If you weren't already aware my dad was a Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit movie fan. I would imagine visiting Southfork would give me chills - but in a good way. Actually I'd probably cry - not that there's anything wrong with that. :embarrassed:

That is wonderful that your dad got to realize his dream of going to Hobbiton. :)

I hope some day you will be able to go to Southfork too. I've been there once and it was a magical experience that felt like a once in a lifetime kind of thing.

I live in the Netherlands, and it will cost me a lot of money to buy a flight ticket with accommodation, plus the ticket for the 40th anniversary of Dallas, so unfortunately I have to let this pass me by. But someday i really wanne visit Southfork.
