Why did they let themselves down that way?

Martin should not have been killed off. He was a legacy character.

I agree. EastEnders is a load of crap mostly anyway, they may as well kill the entire programme off altogether if they carry on like they are doing, relentless misery, the show gets worse the older it gets, the idiots at the BBC haven't a clue, if it wasn't for Channel 4's Brookside failing as it did eventually, then EastEnders wouldn't have lasted almost the last 20 years or so and Brookside WOULD'VE remained instead.
