I mean what are the odds that it would happen again?

In Emmerdale, the tiny village that has had at least two flying machines drop out of the sky on top of it, the odds are probably better than we might think. :D Though hopefully the next one won't be Chrissie's fault too. She's one of my favorites and I'd hate to see the law finally catch up with her.

I think the Dynasty massacre has to top this ( the actual superbly done cliffhanger to be clear, not the abysmal follow up). Catherine Oxenberg was soooo elegant (wasn’t that dress about $25000 or something?), Michael praed look handsome. It really was terrifically done. Terribly concluded

Sons and Daughters had a good one in 1983 when dear lovely Jill (pretty and popular Kim Lewis) was marrying the repentant villain Wayne, except her her ‘dead’ husband Brian turned up to stop them. Made the cover of Aussie TV Week in Sept that year

The Young Doctors, also a TV Weekcover in Feb 1980, had beautiful Rebecca Gilling (Liz) about to marry the dashing Ben Fielding when a young fuzzy hair Alan Dale popped up and stopped them. That was one of the highest rated tv weddings in Australia in the 80s. Of course Kylie and Jason’s more successful wedding in 1987 bet them all (mag covers worldwide for that one!)

Return to Eden ‘86 had sweet Sarah marry yawny Angelo, because her gorgeous spunk’o’Rama true love Tom had a car crash on his way to stop the wedding, when he discovered he wasn’t her brother anymore ;-)

And in June 1986, another TV Week cover, now non repentant bad boy Wayne, unfortunately married Susan, instead of letting her wed drop dead hunk’o’spunk nice guy Glen (the drool worthy Mark Conroy - phoaaarr)

And in 1999 in Corrie, Sharon (played by the fab Tracey Bennett) nearly married Ian til at the alter she gave him what for for cheating on her with that Hussey Natalie lol

On Hollyoaks, Warren Fox in the run up to his Christmas wedding was suspected of having an affair with his wedding planner, which he wasn’t until later on. His wedding planner told his bride-to-be, Louise Summers, about it. Warren had also murdered his bride-to-be’s former husband and paid someone else to take the blame. His actions helped lead to Louise’s alcoholism. Louise (wearing her wedding dress) tried to shoot Warren dead with a gun before the ceremony but he had removed the bullets. She had intended to use it to shoot him after the ceremony but he found it under the pillow when he tried to hide his surprise gift there. Warren smothered Louise with a pillow, went to the wedding and made it look like she had jilted him. Later that evening, he learned that she had been pregnant with his baby. Warren evaded capture for three years, partly by being dead for a year and a half thanks to a fire and quickly murdering the person who rescued him from it, eventually serving a lengthy four and a half years in prison for murder, before happily returning to the show in the shower.

Next time Warren tried to get married (sometime after murder number five) he got stabbed during the ceremony before he could produce the rings. He is currently on the run, after relenting from killing his eldest son and instead kidnapping one of his newborn babies.

I also liked it when Harry Hewitt got squashed.

DAYS had great wedding disasters in the 90s - Sami's where Will's paternity is revealed, Carrie punches her out and then marries Austin herself is another good one.

I'm not even a fan of Days but I really wish I had been there to see that wedding fiasco. All the details I read makes it sound divine.

I don't watch Days anymore because it doesn't air in our country anymore, but when i saw this show Days had some great storylines and a lot of weddings, I didn't like the storylines in the beginning with Susan Banks, but later it was a roller coaster ride where you were at your point of your seat, you just knew something would happen like this soon or later. :)
