I'm just over half way through season 7 now and it's really a mixed bag. The episode when Richard and Maggie finally get wed was one of the most enjoyable of the whole series, yet the stupid 'everyone trapped in the house in a storm' follow up was just dreadful.

I found the 'Stormy Weather' episode to be enjoyable and btw I also liked the wedding.

One thing that was quite impressive and very nuanced was Maggie's descent into a drinking problem. I never even spotted it, but my missus kept mentioning how on every other scene in the preceding few episodes she had a drink in her hand.

Well I have to say despite being a bit silly/boring in parts and the damm annoying music, I have to say I enjoyed season 7, particularly the 2nd half of the season. I really enjoyed 'The 13', yes it was far fetched but I was engaged throughout. On the whole I'd say it was far better than season 6.
Surely I can't like season 8 can I?

S8 is a little "back to the roots" of the show. It's also a little depressing at times. But I still liked it.
And i also liked S9, although it's a pure rollercoaster and completely crazy, but not in a S7 kind of way...buckle up for a wild ride!!

What do you think of Frank Agretti? I think Rod Taylor was a GREAT addition to the cast!

Keep watching, i think you'll be quite entertained until the end of FC.

Charley St. James is one of the most loathsome characters ever to be on a primetime show. His brother Ian is just as bad.

As the season continues I'm finding I'm quite enjoying this final season. Yes it's got the feel of a completely different show, and some of the new characters are beyond loathsome, however everything goes along at a fair old pace so there's always something new cropping up each episode.
