I don’t count Andrew as a member of the Royal Family. I never did. He’s an arrogant and pointless waste of time and, yes, he needs to explain what he was doing but we are not going to get that given the pitiful way he behaved in the Emily Maitliss interview. The Queen, however, deserves the respect she’s earned from all her years of public service. Harry didn’t choose to be born into the family but neither did his grandmother and, had things been different, she would never have become sovereign in the first place. Harry and Meghan are kicking her in the teeth first and foremost

The teasers for the interview with Harry and Meghan Meghan and Harry have made national UK headlines this week. On one occasion it was the top story. To me it seems a little wrong to validate such a crass show of self-promotion in this way. Report it afterwards, by all means. But it doesn't need further promotion ahead of time.

We all knew it was going to end here: with Meghan's trashy American remake of Diana's iconic, doe-eyed Panorama moment, right down to wardrobe colour and kohl-heavy eye makeup. Though Di didn't serve us Kardashian downward creak at the end of every sentence.

I wouldnt give them an inch of newspaper or air space and Id cut off their Oxygen supply and not report a thing about them in UK, She would have never got on an Oprah show without the Royal link and her limited acting talents.

And Im more than mildly cheesed off that my favourite UK show Unforgotten has been bumped to make space for this pair who are no better than the fake and false Khardashians and you couldnt pay me to watch them either, Talk about sell yourself and your soul!

Maybe Oprah should have her father on the following week for his side of the story!

That's the problem with having a monarchy, we don't get to pick and choose who we want to be a member of the royal family, we just have to put up with whoever we get. If any of us plebs met Prince Andrew, we would be expected to bow to him as he is still retains the HRH title and remains 9th in line to the throne. That's why we should abolish the lot of them.

Meghan was a big star in the USA before she met Harry and was a guest of many of the top interviewers. It's just plain wrong to say Meghan "would never have got on an Oprah show without the Royal link." Here she is in one of her interviews with Larry King, one of the most famous interviewers ever on US television.

Why is being interviewed by Oprah "about sell yourself and your soul"? Why shouldn't she defend herself from the media attacks? Why shouldn't she speak out against the media comparing her son Archie to a chimpanzee? Why should she just smile sweetly when the media say all she is good for is frying chicken? If someone said that about me or a member of my family I would do more to them that just be interviewed by Oprah!

Why would anyone want to hear from Meghan's father again? A more interesting interview would be Oprah interviewing Harry's father. She could ask him about how he treated Diana and his adulterous relationship with Camilla . Or maybe Oprah can interview the Queen and ask her about how she tried to pervert the course of justice by withholding evidence that eventually cleared Paul Burrell of theft and how she had been prepared to see an innocent man go to prison. I'm sure far more people would want to see that than hearing from Thomas Markle.

I’m struggling to understand the hatred for Meghan. I did say when she married into the royal family that I felt her star was too bright to be dulled by their way of life. And I was right.

Why shouldn’t she speak out against an institution that really, in the great scheme of things, does nothing to help the fact that there are homeless people on the streets right in front of their noses that their wealth could help fix? Why should innocent animals be killed because they think it’s ‘sport’? Why do we need a queen or king at all?

I admire the Queen however I do not agree with the criticism of a 19 year old woman who Charles’ mistress said he ‘had to’ marry in order for him to be king. Charles has no spine and according to most reports is an overgrown spoilt child. Diana loved him. She paid for that with her life. Charles will be rewarded with the throne. How is that a good example to set? Why is he innocent but Diana guilty for trying to make a marriage work?

Camilla has walked off with everything that should have been Diana’s or at the very least, Camilla and Charles should have bowed out gracefully but didn’t because of GREED.

Prince Andrew had associations with a paedophile. Nothing has been done. Is that ok??

And sorry but I don’t actually care that the interview comes out as Prince Philip is in hospital. He’s almost 100 and has lived a life that many would dream of - many die at half his age. He’s also a racist, adulterer and has little to no respect for life that isn’t in his eyes, blue blooded.

The Queen Mother made Edward and Mrs Simpsons lives hell. She hated Diana but the news still saw fit to announce she was walking unaided into her funeral in her 90’s, when a 37 year old woman had just lost her life.

We wouldn’t accept any of this from people who live next door, so why are we accepting it from an age old unnecessary institution that we pay for? So that they can all live into their hundreds while our own parents die much much younger?

It really is so utterly ridiculous that in the 21st century there are people sitting on thrones while the little folk pay to keep them there. Charles is so full of entitlement that he will make it worse.

I wouldn’t wish any bad to come to Queen Elizabeth but if Meghan can bring the whole institution to its knees good on her. And I hope she does it before Charles and his disgusting wife get anywhere near the throne.

While expected it's our choice if we wish to bow or not...and this rule also applies to The Queen. My understanding is her Majesty will not take offence...that's left to the rusted on monarchists. They will drag you to the public gallows and throw lettuce and tomatoes at you.

Diana was an innocent victim. She loved Charles but he had already given his heart to Camilla. So he just used Diana. Oh and she was only 36 when she died.

I don't get why people hate Meghan either. I think she and Harry deserves to live the kind of life they want. Like I've mentioned before Princess Madeleine of Sweden also married an American and now lives in Florida. Nobody in Sweden is criticising her for that choice. So if Harry and Meghan wants to live in California that should be their choice.

I've seen many in the media saying stuff like how the Oprah interview is bad timing because of Philip's health. The interview was conducted a few days BEFORE Philip was hospitalised but the facts don't stop the haters trying to blame Harry and Meghan for anything that might happen to him.

Unlike you, I don't particularly admire the Queen. I don't know how she can live with herself knowing she is taking money from people on minimum wage to fund her lavish lifestyle when she is one of the richest women in the world. I don't know how she can allow Palace aides to wage a pre-emptive strike against her grandson and his wife in an attempt to counter any criticism they may get from the interview with Oprah. The Palace's clumsy accusation of Meghan being a "bully" is a classic racist trope used against any black woman who has an opinion and dates back to slavery. The women who were supposedly the victims of her bullying did not even support the complaint against her.

What has the Queen done to support Meghan, regarding this? Absolutely nothing. Contrast that with her support for Andrew when he was accused of paedophilia and his friendship with a convicted paedophile which forced him to withdraw from Royal duties. The Queen didn't do nothing, she made a public show of going to church with him to demonstrate that she was supporting him.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have engaged with numerous anti-racism organisations and spoken openly about the death of George Floyd last year while the rest of the family are yet to speak up, even though the Queen is the head of state of many African and Caribbean countries. The good she could have done if she had scheduled a meeting with anti-black racism groups would have went a powerful message to millions of her "subjects" but she did nothing. Does she even care? And for people who say the Royals should get involved in politics, challenging anti-black racism isn't a political issue, it's a human rights issue. The Queen has never even apologised for the Royal family's past association with the slave trade. So no, I don't particularly admire her.

I agree. It's being promoted as a sensational tell-all, but I think in reality it will be rather tame compared with the no holds barred spectacle the media and trailers are suggesting.

There'll probably be enough crumbs and soundbites to ensure headlines. And perhaps some veiled comments to whet appetites for the inevitable memoir. But I really can't imagine them telling all at this early stage. Nor can I imagine Harry - whatever his current feelings - being party to his family being rubbished to the world on a talk show.
