What you've described isn't fascism, just policies you disagree with.

John Kelly's definition was accurate. He said fascism is “a far-right authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy” and he went on to provide examples for how Trump met that definition.

Just because you don't like Biden, that doesn't make him a fascist.

Jesus Christ. You yourself have spoken out against the genocide in Gaza -- and to your credit.

Just what role do you not think Biden has in that??

What is it with the Democratic party not presenting themselves to the hordes of supporters and admitting defeat. We witnessed this with Hillary Clinton in 2016 when she didn't wish to embarrass herself under that glass ceiling and now Vice President Harris did the same thing. I was watching the numbers live here in Australia and I suspect the Democratic party would have had their ears to the ground. Those numbers would have been telling them you've lost. Walk out on that stage with your head held high and concede. That is what a true leader does...not gather up their bat and ball, call it quits and send some minion out to deliver a short speech.

To be fair, Hillary and Kamala did concede the next day, and Trump never did in 2020.

Time it took to concede the elections:

Kamala Harris - roughly 12 hours

Donald Trump - 4 years and counting

And she gave an excellent concession speech, Kamala.

Hillary's wine-fueled reluctance was more understandable: she actually won the popular vote by 3 million ballots -- neutralized by the electoral college.

To this day, Trump hasn't conceded the 2020 loss, nor his losing the popular vote in 2016 -- except obliquely during his acceptance speech at 3:00 AM this morning where he swooned over getting the popular vote this year (which seemed to reveal his awareness that he'd never gotten it before).

Bernie Sanders, who was sabotaged by the Democrats twice, just said that: "It should come as no surprise to a party that has abandoned the working class has now found that the working class has abandoned them."
I'm often disappointed by all of his shilling for the Dems after they sabotaged him, but I try to keep in mind that he genuinely believes Trump is a unique kind of threat.

And to Bernie's credit, he doesn't try to bullshit people when Democrats lose. He knows exactly where they went wrong.

Yes, Trump supports the slaughter in Gaza, too --- which we've condemned here on this site.

Which you'd know if you actually read our posts and not just "reacted."

Get out of your binary bubble, honey.
Yes, that's what frustrates me the most. The substance of what's being said is completely lost when people have their pre-conceived responses already cued up.

If I have anything positive to say about Kamala, it's that she did indeed lose gracefully. Her concession speech hit all the right notes.

Hillary conceded too, but she walked it back later on when she said Trump was an illegitimate president. She also blamed her loss on Bernie, which is ironic.

Trump would never concede a loss to save his life, as he's in constant need of validation. In his mind, he was the de facto president these last four years.

Yes, Bernie's been a little too much of a good-natured team player.

He's no better... and would have been just as bad of president as Trump was.

Probably so. But somebody was afraid he might be better. When the DNC emails leaked a few years ago, it showed that Democratic establishment operatives openly admitted (amongst each other) that they preferred that Trump -- a man they hated -- be elected president than for Sanders, more electable than the other Dems, to be the party nominee.

And why? They were afraid he'd fight the donors and possibly attempt to fix domestic economic policy. Which is a no-no.

Not that he would have succeeded. But they were nervous enough to undermine him twice during the primary cycles of 2016 and 2020.

Both parties work for the corporations (and AIPAC) as does the mainstream media.

Yes, it's hard to gauge how effective his presidency would have been. He's the only candidate the establishment actively sabotaged, but had he pulled out a win, they likely would have found a way to control him. Sanders isn't perfect, particularly his wishy-washy foreign policy and subservience to the Dems. Still, he's the only US politician I know of who advocates for the social Democratic policies that the rest of the industrialized world enjoys. He also rightly calls out the Dems for becoming pro-war and anti-worker.

Interestingly, there didn't seem to be too many reports of funny-business at the polls.
Of course not. It must have been fair because he was winning. Q.E.D.

As an aside, I was mildly surprised to see that Tim Kaine was reelected to the Senate. I didn't realise that he was still around.
Mmm, maybe next time don't pick a running mate named Tim.

Not surprisingly, the mainstream corporate media -- their influence and ratings in decline, their lies exposed -- are now on a tear calling for additional censoring of the Internet and social media so that men (mostly men) won't turn against the quasi-liberal Democratic party and its narratives by being overly brainwashed by "fascist rightwing" online voices which must be stopped.

Which is not quite what happened.

Frankly, it smacks a little of: women must prevent men from talking amongst themselves.

Now that Trump and the Republicans are in control (and Elon Musk is part of his inner circle), they just might be the ones getting censored.

Not that I want that either, of course. However, it would epitomize the phrase "be careful what you wish for."

Everyone that I know feels a huge sense of relief, hope, and freedom. The country has been held hostage to an insane radical far left agenda for four long years and it's finally over. We The People stood together to defend our country and America is coming back better than ever.
