Gotta say that my week was fun and frankly long overdue due Covid and travel restrictions. Finally got to have a sit down with a gentleman I have known since time began. ..if time in winter 1987. The sun down 'til sun up 'til sun down session was.... yeah fun session in Gloucester. Then a gentleman who I hold in high regards and a gentleman of the highest order in every measurable way in all human logic and understanding, that'll be me, hit up Friar Street in Reading for an afternoon of bottomless Prosecco followed by a libations in some of Friar Street's best seedy dive bars. Now the serenity and solitude of my home town in the small hours....the darkest hours before the dawn cast spells during sessions. Public facing masks are dropped, defensive and self-protectctive guards are lowered. Friends sitting at the table actual talking. The war stories and tall tales of whatever have been served up and not challenged, because the BS needs out before the clock is ticking tomorrow's time. Three days in Gloucester and Friar Street, all that happened under the Lightning Tree. Break bread, blaze up and listen. The opportunity to ruminate on and memorialize meandering thoughts... courtesy of the small hours. If you follow the hyperbole.
