Indeed they do, to a degree that would frighten casual bystanders. But then they've been lucky enough to have known me since I made my grand entrance into the world, an entrance that the amassed waiting angels applauded... until Dear Mama and Big Sister told 'em to "knock that **** off, he arrived late. Must think he's a superstar" That said, without them I'd be not me. I recall seeing traffic signs in Newcastle directing motorists to Edinburgh suggesting that the two cities are relatively close. But the contrast in accents is astounding! I too have wondered about how come they are so many different and strikingly so accents in fairly close proximity in the UK. I found myself doing great things in Cardiff last September, I took me around 2 and a half hours to get to Cardiff Docks. Eventually I noticed that I wasn't listening to what my colleague actually saying, I was listening he's phonology. Curious right, all I did was cross the Severn. You raise a good point, I often completely over look the fact sometimes that this is an open public platform that anyone can access and read and that members can post their thoughts on what ever.... err... ugh,,, ahhhh,,,umm... big magic Juju beaucoup wisdom that God only knows why... I choose to think that I know what I'm pontificating about.... let's call that the "win". :hl::laughing::laughs:
