[QUOTE="DallasFanForever, post: 341699, member: 13221"] Thank you for keeping me, and all of us over here, in your thoughts Lashes! Times like this definitely put life in perspective. Unfortunately, I’m never sure what’s scarier with these storms, the storm itself or the aftermath. Not only the loss of life, which is the part that saddens me the most, but also the millions of people that are now homeless. So many lives have been changed forever. And then there are the water shortages, fuel shortages, food shortages, etc. I’m sitting here typing this and I know I’m lucky that I was spared all of this this time but when I look at the rest of the state right now it’s hard to feel lucky, if that makes any sense. I do often wonder if they feel lucky to have me there sometimes LOL!! Misery can creep in very easily, I notice, but I try to fight it off. I guess a lot of people don’t. For me humor helps a lot. It might not solve anything but it does help. We actually lost a co worker at work this week. He just got sick out of nowhere and was gone in a month. It happened so fast.
