When it's between my orchids and bugs I side with my orchids. :box: Indeed. There isn't enough love for plants to create such a place. There are so many people just take them for granted. That is a good question but I get the impression the plant lady doesn't know too much about orchid care. Most of the orchids she gives me are just dehydrated and would last twice as long on the shelf of she gave them some water. In my simple mind I can hear them crying for water. :crazyme: I should ask her if she has an orchid. The buggy orchids, Trooper and Sunbeam are fine now. They are now fully included with my other orchids and recovering quite well. I would only give you the best my friend. :pals: LOL, poor Orkie isn't the only orchid to get attention anymore. I'm sure she likes others of her kind to me near her. Woohoo! :gotcha: There are in different stages of recovery and orchid life in general. I had a third scare with Venus (orchid #28) last week with a yellowing leaf that could have been a rotten spot on the stem. She has had that before. I preformed orchid surgery on her to remove the decay and as of now she is stable with half of that leaf still living. I keep a close eye on that plant as she has had such a difficult journey. I have a few "cheaters" that start growth on existing flower spikes so by the end of the year I may have a few in bloom. Many are starting at the base of the plant with new spikes that take longer. They seem to be a month early this year. It has been a cool October and that surely has triggered them. I had an Oscar that had it's own personality but got too large for my aquarium. Sadly I had no way of finding it a new home (this was in 2004) and I let it free in a community pond that July to give it a chance to survive. I made a Goldfish/Koi pond in 1987 and I did enjoy that for several year. I also enjoy the tropical fish one finds at stores too. I like them all. I hate to know how these poor goldfish live. The fish bowels don't give enough the oxygen in the water that they need. I won many of these years ago but I had an aquarium or later that fish pond to release them. They could live for years. My rescuing of other lives isn't too new as you may see. I did wonder if they still did this as carnivals, having goldfish prizes. People need to respect the lives of these who can't fight back even if it's a fish. Oh wow!
