It seems like it gets busier every year to me! I do miss snow, especially this time of the year, but I’ve become so spoiled living here now that I really don’t enjoy the cold. And that kind of bothers me cause as a kid I loved the cold. It never bothered me back then. I’m not sure how I would deal with it now if I had to. It would be very hard for me to try adapting to that way of life again I’m afraid. Nonetheless, I’d give just about anything to see snow again. This all does bring back memories! Driving in that weather was never fun but I did enjoy watching the snowfall and playing outside in it. The problem I had wasn’t the rash. It was the fact that I kept ruining my uniforms cause they just wouldn’t wash out from all the dirt and sap. I did that job for only a month and I think I set the record for ruined uniforms in the history of that store. I’ve learned as I get older that avoidance is the key to keeping the injuries down. I’m steering clear of the decorations these days and using the driveways instead. CFF is done cutting corners and just wants to get home in one piece now. Maybe thankful is the best word for it cause I wasn’t sure it could be done. And then when I started hearing the compliments, that was the best part. But the part I didn’t count on was how much better I would feel. I have more energy than I’ve had in years and it’s honestly a little scary. I’m not tired all the time anymore. It’s like I took this big rock of lingering depression and tossed it aside. Changed my whole life. Well, this began as a joke at first but as I got back in shape it started to get more serious. I mean, I’m too old to ever go to the pros anymore. I’m at the age where players are retiring, not starting, so I have to be reasonable. But I’ll be darned if I’m not hearing those “voices coming out of the cornfield” once more. I put that in quotes Lashes so no one thinks I’m hearing voices for real. Anyway, I’m going to try and start playing a lot more than I have been in many years and I’m really excited at that possibility. Even if nothing comes out of it, who cares? It makes me happy and that’s all that matters. Funny you should say this Lashes cause I had the same problem one night. I have to say that you suggested some really good names and there were three that I was stuck on. But AT THE END OF THE DAY I chose this one cause I liked how it sounded. Simple yet catchy. We’ll keep your mistake between us! I’ll never forget my first Christmas on this site two years ago and I was such a Scrooge that year. The holidays were not my friend then unfortunately and I think that “Covid Christmas “ as I call it just made things worse for most of us due to the isolation. And then I saw you guys all picking names for Christmas and I thought that was kind of cool, even though I wasn’t able to jump in just yet at that time. But I’m definitely glad I can now. Thank you my friend!! It’s been good to me lately, I have to say. I hope all is well with you and that you are having a great week so far!
