How often did Angela say Falcon Crest?

I often wondered whether most people, including people who appeared on the show, pronounce the name of the business with the first syllable rhyming with "Pal" rather than "Ball" because that's how Jane Wyman pronounced it, and she said it so often that it became the standard way of saying the name.

Quite a lot but I suppose it was the name of her business and also her home, unlike her equivalents in Dalllas and Dynasty.

Wow! That was quite a project -- I quickly lost count!

Well, I suppose the Ewings referred to "Dallas" and "Southfork" a lot over the years.

In contrast, the Carringtons almost never referred to the "dynasty" --- probably because the writers quickly forgot the name of the show...

The only time I heard it pronounced as Fallcon Crest was in an interview with British actress Tracey Childs.
How about the British guest stars e.g. Simon MacCorkindale? I don't remember how they said it.

It's the usual American way to pronounce the word "falcon", so Jane and the others did it that way, of course.

Unlike the way he often said "Lance" in a very British sound, Simon usually tried to pronounce the Falcon Crest name more American.

Quite a lot

That's a terrific compilation. I wonder if it was even funnier to me because I have no idea of the context of any of these mentions.

It's great fun in a "rhubarb rhubarb" kind of way, and after a while it became like listening to a barrage of profanity, driven home by the more forceful examples (I think 0:54 is my favourite).

Incidentally, can I recommend watching (or rewatching) with subtitles. There are some hilarious mistranslations in there ("Toffee Krisp" indeed).

Yes. There's also quite a different emphasis. Brits would emphasise the third syllable of the name ("Crest"), whereas Americans emphasise (or probably emphasize) the first, which makes it feel more informal and friendly somehow.

One of my favourite Falcon Crest utterances from Angela is at the end of this post. In doing so she reminds Lance of how the business commenced.

To vine or not to vine.

Angela catches up with Lance; in the vineyards of Falcon Crest and she gives him a telling off, (a scene from season 3, 1983 - '84):

The novice vintner who could one day inherit America's finest wine business just listens.

Angela: "I've told you again and again my grandfather paid for this land, with his sweat and his blood. Now every generation since have sacrificed themselves to keep this legacy alive. You can turn your back on me anytime you like but never let me hear you say anything against Falcon Crest again!"

Lance with his sunglasses on gets into his red Porsche 944 and speeds off. He leaves his grandmother looking at her millions of grapes.
