IMHO a FC reunion should have happened some time in the nineties. The Powers That Be if they had got the remaining core cast on board, with a decent script could have coincided such a show with 'JR Returns'. Other fan sites of the show; 'A New Vintage' and 'www.falconcrest.org' had submitted script proposals, to aid a comeback of the wine saga. These proposals stayed true to the original glory years.
However cast leader Jane Wyman put the brakes on hopes of a reunion happening when she was reported as saying, "that would be like chewing your cud twice."
Lorenzo Lamas (Lance Cumson) provides his thoughts about Jane Wyman; who played his grandmother Angela Channing, the all conquering wine business matriarch from the eighties, ('behind the scenes' from season 1 - 9, 1981 - '90):
"FALCON CREST was a decade of television for me! It was during most of my 20s. Working with Jane Wyman is something I will never forget. She was a consummate professional, a class act and someone who set the tone for every actor who did that show. During the run of nine seasons Jane became like a grandmother to me off screen."

In all honesty, I think her refusal to do a reunion had more to do with her declining health more than anything. I don't doubt if there had been a real push for it, they could've done one in the 90s.

But Falcon Crest did end on its own terms. They had to do a reunion for DYNASTY because of that awful cliffhanger in season 9 and for DALLAS because of the ridiculous "Conundrum" ending , even though the latter knew in advance that was their last season (unlike DYNASTY). So I know why the fans would crave it, but I see Jane Wyman's point about there being no need.

Knots also ended on its own terms yet had a mini-series. CBS was a mess in the 90s so I'm sure they would've greenlighted a Falcon Crest reunion if there was a push for it. The fact that Jane only acted once after Falcon Crest ended says a lot sadly. I love her comment and she's not wrong, but I don't doubt she would've done it if in better health.

If there was going to be a Falcon Crest reunion, and Jane Wyman was understandably unable to take part due to her failing health, then the obvious plot line would be to kill off her character and have the storyline centre on the succession for the control of Falcon Crest between her children and grandchildren.

A round of applause for Toni. Chao-Li would have deserved being the head of Falcon Crest. He was in the top five characters who appeared in the most episodes and knew more about the business than Angela. I'm also of the opinion that season 9 wasn't bad, radical would be the word. I blame it all on Apollo dying. Omen maybe.

It was unfortunate the cork wasn't popped on the new FALCON CREST back in 2013. The demise of TNT DALLAS was likely the main reason for a launch never happening. They should went ahead with the pilot anyways; Richard versus Cole getting the show on the road.
Well, Richard and Chase come back. Maggie and Richard reconcile. They run The New Globe together. Chase goes full on bad guy and starts manipulating people. he tries to get custody of Kevin. Tony Cumson returns and he and Lance start their own winery with the not dead Melissa. Garth falls in love with Emma and they get married and adopt Wendell again cause Richard makes it happen. Angela is healthy and fighting mad at Chase and Tony and especially Lance for betraying her and leaving the big house to go work with his dad. At the end, Falcon Crest is stolen away from Angela, lock, stock and vine by Chase.
Hmm, the idea of Garth with Emma is an intriguing one.
I could totally see Emma taking an interest in him and Garth trying to tactfully put her off.
The one thing though is that Emma's beaus tend to end up dead or disgraced and I'd have hated that to happen to Garth!

No way could that have happened to Garth. Richard would've probably approved of him becoming attracted to his sister Emma, even though he was his boss. Having been in many a failed relationship / marriage for whatever reason Emma just might have found her soulmate, they were both quirky too. Hindsight is wonderful.
Richard would have been okay with it, I think. If for no other reason that it would probably annoy Angela!

I would have saved the final season the way my wildly elaborate dream last night finished it -- I've had some of the most baroque dreams over the last 10 days of my life... in fact, I died three time in them (the first was a nice, spiritually sound death where the parallels between this side and the other side were observed; then I died so a bizarre horror movie could be made while a camera followed me into hell; then there was another one, and I can't recall at the moment, but it was equally fascinating).
Last night, FC's final season concluded. At one point, the family was searching Arizona for some native-American artifacts which were magical. I was back in the '40s and was somehow able to "enter" old war footage in which Hitler would emerge here and there; I eventually swam around where I saw Trump hit his head on those huge war ships, until realized he was too young ant that must be his father.... It got very, very Halloween-y; everybody -- especially Cole --- had moved back into the Gioberti stone mansion; all the Giobertis had been saved via some witness protection program, but many supernatural things were going on. Then the 60 second promos for the final show revealed the murder mystery of all time, but each suspect turns out to be murdered by somebody else, until, around the Gioberti dinner table, the floor suddenly collapses and turns out The Devil himself has been the culprit all along.
Angela, sitting outside in her ambulance-limo at night, sees and hears the screams and flashes of horrific light from inside, and she snorts: "Jesus, those Giobertis always did know how to party..." and then is chauffeured off to FC.

El problema es que desde la quinta temporada, los productores y guionistas de Falcon Crest ni siquiera se habían molestado en ver los episodios y no sabían nada de la historia, lo dijo David Selby una vez.

I think comes out of the other more positive side of the Lorimar experience was that when Warner Brothers bought Lorimar they inherited a number of serious commitments were you in that when you win then process yeah it this probably never happened again in the history we had three series on the air at CBS Knots Landing Falcon Crest in Dallas they all came up for renewal at the same time now
That wouldn't happen again in a million years and when they came up for renewal I let everybody know that they were available and II even syndicated people came to me and said we'll take the show will take you know the ABC came to me NBC came to me everybody came and CBS knew this so we went in and negotiated with CBS and beside getting great financial help
I mean tremendous amounts of money for these three shows they gave us commitments for nine series and that's part of what Warner Brothers inherited that may have even paved the way for a lot of the series that are on the air today of court and certainly you look at thatexperience and what er did more recently though with their renegotiate
I suppose that is completely learn although the thing we went at it you know it was just nine series we've got commitments today in this particular market one of the things that's happening is the networks are trying to own more and more local to avoid this well at that time the government was there and that is the only time to be in business you know because we owned everything you know and they got the program and they paid for and you had the lever and we had the leverage and I mean those days are gone you know today you want to show in the air they got owned they got to own a piece of it when you
