Iceland and the volcanoes

I personally think Iceland is one of the coolest countries on the planet, if not the coolest. The nature is spectacular. Even more so when one of its volcanoes erupt, like this week. Because no one has been injured and the lava is not reaching any city, we can all just enjoy and be fascinated with the show. And what a show!

I find volcanoes fascinating and for once Im quite happy Im not abroad as I got stuck in USA due to the Volcano errupting in 2010 (how can that be 13 years ago????) and the Icelandic ash cloud.

Hope it doesnt affect travel as it did then, have always wanted to go to Iceland abut believe eating out is very ££££

There are flights from a local airport but you return home / leave very early in the morning which is an absolute waste of a hotel night and that day

This is a very different kind of eruption. (Rather than a huge mushroom effect, the ground has cracked and lava is coming up from the long, 4 kilometer, crack.) It's not throwing ash up in the air, so there is no ash to create an ash cloud.
