I didn't have much use for her first time around, but I find myself not minding Jamie Rose at all during this current rewatch.
Granted, there's not much to Vickie's character, which I think is the main problem - what do we really know about her? She's a teenager that loves to dance and makes foolish romantic decisions? One dimension hardly a memorable character makes.
Dana Sparks was teeth-clenching in the role (which she also was as bonkers PASSIONS' supposedly angelic Grace or on STAR TREK, so I tend to feel she just can't act). Add to it that they gave Vickie some truly godawful things to say (e.g. throwing Maggie's rape in Maggie's face, and didn't she call Maggie's baby a bastard?) which Sparks was utterly incapable of imbuing with charisma. I still shudder at the thought of it.
