Oh, I think I got it now. I know what role the producers of DYNASTY should've cast Jon-Erik Hexum in (thus possibly saving his life). He should've been the big buzzworthy recasting for the TONY DRISCOLL character in the 1984/85 season (we stopped seeing Paul Keenan at the end of season 4 anyway).
Now, before you say that would've been too insignificant of a role for a rising star like Hexum, the whole point of this recasting should've been expanding the role, turning Tony into a resident candy boy toy stud horse bedding every female character (including Alexis, of course) when they feel desperate or lonely and getting them into all kind of trouble. I guess something along the lines they tried (and failed) with Mark Jennings who had more of a 70s porn star vibe.
Say what you want about Hexum's limited acting abilities, but I think he would've been perfect in this role. And also an improvement over poor Paul, who was gorgeous as hell, too, but even more limited as an actor.
I recall an article or interview I posted 3 years ago about Marshetta's plan to have Jeff wake up from one of his wee-hour benders following Fallon's funeral in bed with a man and a woman (they obviously scrapped the bisexual threesome idea and changed it to only a woman). Well, that man should've been the all-new and improved Tony. He would also be making the constipated Steven 2.0 very nervous always prancing around the estate shirtless reminding him he was gay.
