He could have been Lady Ashley's "business associate".
God can you imagine how much more nervous she would have appeared in scenes if he was her co-star. She wouldn't have been nervously clinking her china cup and saucer, she'd have flat out dropped it through the glass coffee table.

Imagine if Al Corley stayed on as Steven, that Luke didn't die in the Massacre, and Jon Erik was cast as Fox (formerly "Bart") Fallmont.

Any takers?
Well... Two and a giver in that scenario I'd say.

Where did you hear that, may I ask?

Not that he was offered it, but decided against going for it (though Collins told him he should) because he did not want a 3-year contract. It is still around on lots of blog posts about him (I can post some) but I remember reading it also when he died back then.

I very much doubt he'd lasted as long as Michael Nader in the role as I don't think anyone would've taken him seriously as a potential long-term love interest for Alexis.

Then again, I hate Dex so...

Oh, I think I got it now. I know what role the producers of DYNASTY should've cast Jon-Erik Hexum in (thus possibly saving his life). He should've been the big buzzworthy recasting for the TONY DRISCOLL character in the 1984/85 season (we stopped seeing Paul Keenan at the end of season 4 anyway).

Now, before you say that would've been too insignificant of a role for a rising star like Hexum, the whole point of this recasting should've been expanding the role, turning Tony into a resident candy boy toy stud horse bedding every female character (including Alexis, of course) when they feel desperate or lonely and getting them into all kind of trouble. I guess something along the lines they tried (and failed) with Mark Jennings who had more of a 70s porn star vibe.

Say what you want about Hexum's limited acting abilities, but I think he would've been perfect in this role. And also an improvement over poor Paul, who was gorgeous as hell, too, but even more limited as an actor.

I recall an article or interview I posted 3 years ago about Marshetta's plan to have Jeff wake up from one of his wee-hour benders following Fallon's funeral in bed with a man and a woman (they obviously scrapped the bisexual threesome idea and changed it to only a woman). Well, that man should've been the all-new and improved Tony. He would also be making the constipated Steven 2.0 very nervous always prancing around the estate shirtless reminding him he was gay.

And it would give a member of the staff the opportunity to be more actively involved, like Michael Culhane in season 1. The haves and the have nots theme worked so well in season 1.
It could become a "Lady Chatterley" inspired storyline.

I could imagine some Lana Del Rey-esque montage scenes, all smouldering and shimmering. I don't want him to be Alexis' toy-boy, he should be...adored, from a distance.
And also confuse the characters, except for Krystle who was equally beautiful in her own way.

I could also picture him as Matthew Blaisdel's younger brother.

p.s. it's another screaming-out-for-a-story signature, Richard!
What is that place, and what is Alexis doing there? I need to know everything about that woman (how "Joseph" of me)
