With the reboot, I wonder what will happen with the Kahn character given as he was originally voiced by a white Caucasian actor. (Minh and Connie were voiced by an actress of Asian origin).

(Toby Huss did also the voice of Hank's father, so guess Mike Judge can bring him back in that capacity)

Only mention as characters on The Simpsons like Dr Hibbert, Bernice Hibbert, Carl Carlson and Cookie Kwan have been replaced with ethnic minority actors rather than the original voices (Harry Shearer, Tress MacNeille and Hank Azaria).

TVLine reached out to Mike Judge about Huss/Kahn and they didn’t get a comment. But Huss is not part of the announced list of returnees (Lauren Tom has been announced as returning as Minh). But if Kahn, Dale, and Luanne are all absent, I’m not really looking forward to it as much as I once was.

King of the Hill is such a consistently good show. It’s a crime how underrated the show was. Fox moving it to Tuesdays for season three and then to the 7:30 slot was such a disaster for the show. I’m surprised Fox kept it on as long as they did considering how badly they treated it (pre-empting it for baseball more often than not).
“That’s my purse! I don’t know you!” will never not be hilarious to me.
I also love how delusional Peggy is about her own abilities. I wish they print real “Peggy’s Musings”.

I'm nervously awaiting August 4, 2025 to see what Hulu's revival of KING OF THE HILL is going to be like.

As you may have guessed, I'm a fan of the original show, and I have been for a number of years. I really got into the show probably around 2012, when I'd watched back-to-back episodes every night on Adult Swim. (For a brief detour, I've never understood why KING OF THE HILL is grouped with FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD when KOTH is cleaner, more real, and character-driven that the other two that go for sometimes absurd and gross-out gags.)

I'm naturally curious to see what series creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge are going to do with the revival, but I'm worried they're going to mess it up somehow. Based on what information that's been leaked or officially revealed so far, I have some hesitations about some of the creative and plotline decisions. I'm not really worried about the voice actor changes (well, I don't think I am, anyway).

We shall see what August 4 gives us.

Right. And Jonathan Joss hadn't been long posted how upset he was that he had not been invited to participate in the "sneak peak" panel in Texas on May 30.

Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble, passed back in August 2023. He recorded six of the ten episodes from the first season, and will be replaced by Toby Huss, who voiced Cotton and Kahn in the original, from there on.
