I'm still unsure if Roz killed Tim. I know everything is pointing that way, but we never saw what happened after she opened her eyes.

So much has happened, that I'm hoping for an extended episode to wrap it all up.

Also love how this could be connected to the first series.

I hope creepy Deputy Chief constable and his touchy feely hands gets his come uppance!! (he is the sptitting image of one of my cousins BTW!!)

I have no idea how Sunday will end, its compelling and compulsive and I find it better written than Broadchurch which i also loved

Ted, Kate and Steve - come back soon and I hope nice young cop jamie is given another chance

Also hope sweetly sick and sooky clipe PC Trudy - yes ma'am, no ma'am, 3 bags full ma'am, gets a big slap
Roll on.............................

Line of Duty's Steve Arnott reveals the real reason why the character wears those infamous waistcoasts

We're just days away from the series finale of Line of Duty – and from finding out who the heck is under that balaclava.

Of course, the more pressing question on everyone's lips surrounds DS Steve Arnott's fashion style and why he wears those, er, fetching waistcoats.

Well, the actually Scottish actor Martin Compston who plays him has settled it once and for all.

"Before we started the first series, a pal of mine who works in a call centre was telling me about someone who worked with him," he told the Evening Standard.

"This guy was a right wee dick and he wore waistcoats to work — who would wear waistcoats to work in a call centre?"

He explained that this chap was getting quite a bit of attention from his female co-workers, "which nobody could understand because nobody liked him. But it was the waistcoat that did it, seemingly. And I thought, 'That's him — that's Arnott, the needlessly overdressed guy'."

So, there you have it.

Heading into the final episode, DS Arnott (and his waistcoats) is on the hunt for Balaclava Man, and the actor previously said the reveal is "genius".

Line of Duty's Adrian Dunbar is hinting that some of the show's lingering mysteries will finally pay off in the series four finale.

The BBC crime drama has been bloodier and more brutal than ever this series as newcomer DCI Roz Huntley (Thandie Newton) has operated outside the law to catch killers — but maybe her controversial methods will help pay off questions we've wondered about for years.

In the latest issue of TV & Satellite Week magazine, Adrian Dunbar, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings, hinted that fans can expect the most shocking climax in the history of Line of Duty.

"If you have watched the series from day one, there are still questions that haven't been answered," he teased, adding: "You never know what will come back to bite you on the nose!"

Dunbar went on to clarify: "What Hilton is a part of hasn't been entirely resolved and we aren't sure if Ted knows more about that. Those things may turn out to be be red herrings, though."

Well, that cryptic clue will have Reddit desperately trying to figure just how Ted fits into Hilton's machinations, now won't it?

Line of Duty wraps up its stunning fourth series on Sunday (April 30) at 9pm on BBC One.

That really was brilliant TV. So much action going and it ends where Hastings gives a sinister look through the glass. Surely they are not implying he's 'H' behind all this? Then again I loved how Steve & Kate looked at each other wondering who 'H' was.

Roz is one hell of a tough woman.

I think we all knew there was more than one balaclava man and it was great how she exposed Jimmy, but what I'm curious about is where Timothy Ifield fit in all this. Why was he wearing a balaclava in the first episode? He wanted to expose Roz for pinning eh crimes on Michael Farmer, implying he's one of the good guys.

Loved the wall of police officers with the names beginning with H and I didn't realise Hargreaves was in there.

So up until the night Ifield died, Roz was innocent. She had no idea it was Jimmy who planted the evidence in Michael Farmer's flat. If only she had come clean about the fight, things could have been very different.

Top notch TV as ever and I'm already tired of waiting for series 5

Some really shitty news.......

Line of Duty fans are in for a LONG wait before series 5

Series 4 of Line of Duty reached its dramatic and action-packed conclusion last night – even if the Balaclava Man reveal was a bit of a let-down – and now there's only one thing on viewers' minds: when the hell is series 5 coming?

Sadly, it looks like there's going to be a long wait until we're reunited with AC-12, as series creator Jed Mercurio has confirmed that the show won't return until 2019.

On the bright side, that means we've got two whole years to gather our evidence against the spurious claims that Hastings might still be 'H'. (Sorry guys, we're not having it.)

"The plan is we won't shoot Line of Duty series five until next year and that means it won't be on air until 2019," Mercurio told The Mirror.

He added: "We haven't even decided if the next antagonist will be male or female, we are that far off from puzzling it out."

In a separate interview with the BBC, Jed dropped a few more hints as to what the focus of series 5 will be – and it looks like fans can expect to get well-acquainted with some of the series' regulars.

"I want to look at the personal lives of all the regulars in series five," he said. "They've taken a backseat in this series to Roz Huntley, so it would be good to explore that side of things a bit more.

"The regulars are definitely up for doing more."
