When I first heard the rumor of TC joining DAYS, it made sense that they'd bring in GH's Nikolas to play Nicholas Alamain...though it's difficult to see how they'd connect the Alamains to anyone currently on the show outside of Victor and Kate. DAYS has that bad habit of bringing back beloved characters only to drop them once the initial story dries up...

Yes, they've spent many years (and dollars) trying to recreate past successes by bringing back many of the past characters rather than trying to create new memories. This is not unique to Days, of course, but it isn't helping to bring back an old fave, only to leave them with nothing to do except say "Hey, everyone! I'm back. Isn't that exciting?" So many have arrived, had a few good scenes, then got written out again due to lack of story.

"Big Viv" was always hilarious, and lord knows she's the kind of character Ron C will love to write for. I see her becoming like Ron's Dr. Obrecht on GH, the sort of "extreme" character who can pull off all the ridiculous capers Ron (and Vivian) can dream up. But will Ivan still be tending to his 'madame'? Viv without Ivan is like Karen Walker without Rosario...:eek:

No, the actor that played Ivan will not be coming back. The only reason he made a cameo last time was because he likes Sorel and wanted to give her a good send off.

Maybe Ron C can lure Kathleen Gati away from GH to play Vivian's latest hench-person. Gati's Dr. Obrecht is very resourceful and cunning, so Ron could create a similar character (Swiss-German accent optional) as Big Viv's partner-in-crime. Those two actresses could set the show on fire. Literally and figuratively.

The man that played Ivan has told the show he won't return. He has no desire to. The only reason he returned to get Vivian off the show the second time was strictly because of Sorel. He will NOT be coming back, no matter how many times he is asked.
