I remember that Kevin was Chase's son. Even though when I first watched the show I thought he was Richard's son. Because Richard raised both Kevin and Michael as his own after Maggie died.

So well when I began watching the show from the beginning I was quite surprised to learn of Kevin's origin.

Regarding Kevin, remember that he was Chase's son. Melissa changed the blood for the paternity test.
But raised by Richard with Michael (and Angela in my story) so I have them as brothers who loved their late, saintly mother, revere their legionary father and honor their gentle and child like Aunt Emma. At least in my story. I’d guess they’d know the issues of their biological paternity, especially with Michael having all that money, but I don’t see them making an issue out of it. Maggie was their mother and Emma filled in (I’m assuming Richards third wife also died) and Richard was their father (and even filled in for Angela). A bit unconventional but they’re Channing's.

And why not delete the third wife.
Lauren was a total mistake neither the actress nor the character made sense or liked the public.
Like you, many of us think that a widowed Richard would have welcomed Emma, he always loved her

I don’t delete anyone, so I have the story go that she died, making Richard a widow for the 3rd time. Somewhere right after the end of the series Lauren dies and then Angela and he inherits Falcon Crest as the strongest choice to hold it. He moves in to take care of Emma and her daughter and Emma to help with his boys. Somewhere in there Lance starts off on his own with his family and Richards money with a vineyard in Argentina, including living with his father, Tony and the Cumson family I make the assumption is from Argentina - happily ever after.

Also part of the background story is Father Christopher becomes Richard’s best friend and priest of the parish in Tuscany and Julia lives out her life in a convent nearby. One big family. Michael marries Christina Carrington - the idea is to merge the 80s soups. They have 3 children and live in the Agretti House, now part of Falcon Crest. Kevin is a tortured and brilliant writer living in the Geoberti House. His best friend is Meg McKenzie. And Angela dated much older John Ross Ewing III some time before 2012. She got pregnant and he left to make a fortune for his son. Destroyed when he found out she moved on he clung to Elena Ramos and then Pamela Barnes. He spun out of control. Then JR found her, his assumed daughter wasn’t his daughter but the mother of his grandson. John Ross ran to her and she helped him destroy his family to take everything from them. Then she went home to Tuscany with her son, John Ross Ewing III who is now 15.

I don't even remember that Richard got married again or the Lauren character. Did he really marry again in the same season after Maggie died?

Also if memory serves me right Michael's biological mother was Maggie's sister Terry?

He did but it was season 9 so there's that. And Lauren was Maggie's cousin. Richard married two sisters and a cousin from the same family, and in my version was widowed each time. Michael's biological mother was Cassandra Wilder, the daughter of a man Angela destroyed. BTW Cassandra's 1/2 brother (Julia was the mother) was Father Christopher. So Christopher is Michael's uncle on his mother's side. On this father's side they are 1st cousins. I think I got that right. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. In my story Richard and Maggie are the parents of the two boys and they wouldn't hear anyone say anything to the contrary. Of and Emma's daughter, Angela, her father is not who everyone assumes it is, in my story.

Okay. Thanks for explaining @stevew
It's been a long time since I watched Falcon Crest all the way through so I have forgotten a lot by now. The last time I tried to rewatch it I got stuck a couple of seasons in as I couldn't find which VHS tape I had taped the episodes on. I had written up the first 70 episodes or such. But after that it became really hard to locate the episodes so I just gave up. It would have been so much easier to watch it if all seasons had been released on DVD!

He is the son of Casaandra Wilder

He remarried yes. Another nonsense script with a woman who did not hit him at all.
No wonder viewers deserted
Ridiculous scene A millionaire folding sheets in a tiny kitchen. David must have been so angry that in the end he throws the sheets at Lauren

Gracias por compartir. Sí, puedo ver por qué los espectadores abandonaron el programa en la temporada final. Creo que era demasiado pronto para que él se volviera a casar tan pronto después de la muerte de Maggie.
But if she was also unattractive in all aspects,
Look what a bland bed scene with how romantic it was with Maggie, so passionate with Melissa, so funny with Terry
But if the actress who played her partner objected to her intimate scenes, a 40-year-old actress.
she said it herself
That she was an actress or a nun
Richard and Lauren the worst bed scene from Falcon Crest

I agree that the show jumped the shark when Melissa died in that fire. I think it was pointless bringing her back as a different character too since people wanted to see Melissa not Samantha. Come to think of it, I think this is an example of how Dallas got it right when they made Bobby dying a part of Pam's dream which enabled Patrick Duffy to come back as Bobby and not another lookalike character. People wanted him to be Bobby. Just like people wanted Ana Alicia's character to be Melissa.

I've posted my thoughts about Ana portraying Samantha many times, over the years. Most recently:

Ana was let go under the orders of Michael Filerman. He was involved with the show from the very beginning but then took very much a back seat, in the latter part of season 1. He returned for the 8th season with creative control; making the decision to introduce a new family the Ortegas, in an attempt to bring a more earthy feel after the 'everything and the kitchen sink' season 7 (which was very entertaining).

One of the Ortega characters was Pilar and she was around a similar age to Melissa, just as good looking dare I say it maybe even better but not as feisty or shrewd. So Melissa's fate was sealed but like Sheree J. Wilson in twilight DALLAS Ana was contracted to the end of the season. Michael just didn't know what more he could do with Melissa and Ana was vocal about this, in a diplomatic way. In addition to receiving all her bucks Ana got extra on top for five episodes, portraying doppelgänger Samantha Ross. This was an attempt by Michael Filerman to all but admit he had made a mistake and to throw a life jacket, to a now ailing show.

Samantha Ross (played by core cast member Ana Alicia) is on the phone, in the FC living room to someone in Chicago. Angela wants her to testify for the prosecution in the case against Richard. Pilar goes to the living room, just as Samantha finishes her conversation, (a scene from season 8, 1988-'89):

Pilar: "So what kind of work do you do Samantha?"

Samantha: "I'm a photographer."

Pilar: "Oh! You met Richard on the job."

Samantha: "Why are you so interested?"

Pilar: "I'm just curious. Now what kind of woman would've agreed to do what Richard asked?"

Samantha: "The kind of woman who is very interested in money and something tells me you just might understand that."

Pilar raises her infamous eyebrow. This happens when she is annoyed.

Angela joins them: "Oh you see Pilar understands a great deal about money."

Richard and Lauren the worst bed scene from Falcon Crest

The bottom line Lauren just wasn't Maggie; not that she ever could be, mind you. It was rumoured Maggie was to be recast, with Wendy Phillips in the role. Now that would've seriously outdone DYNASTY (the 80s super soaps recast master). Even though I didn't enjoy Lauren as Richard's new woman I'm glad and I'm sure I speak for many others that the recast option didn't materialise.

Ana Alicia gives her view on her dismissal, from FC. However she will have the last laugh, when she returns as Melissa's look-a-like Samantha Ross, ('behind the scenes' from season 8, 1988 - '89):.

"Such limited characterisation is the responsibility of a lot of people-writers, producers and directors. The bottom line is what you think of yourself and what you think you're capable of. I don't take it personally. You can't waste that kind of energy because I've been fired before. You just have to use your energy to take yourself to the next step."

Wendy Philips recast of Susan Sullivan
Were the producers crazy?
With the thousands of attractive and talented actresses in Hollywood
How was Wendy chosen?
David was as angry as the spectators. Who could believe that a man like Richard would fall in love with her.

Yikes! That scene of Richard and Lauren was dubbed to German. Yeah I agree it was not very romantic how they were talking about somebody going to jail and all.

It's amazing how some recasts totally works and some doesn't.
I didn't realize before that the Falcon Crest producers wanted to replace Melissa with Pilar.

I saw the last season of Falcon Crest first but I didn't like it much. I did like Lance and Pilar. But my preference is Lance and Melissa.
