Don't get your hopes up. 5 episodes in and I have come to the conclusion that Messiah is just a long, boring, pondering bluff of nothingness. It seems somehow to be a compelling drama. That's what it's touting itself as. However it's all a bit silly and is starting to wear thin after 5 episodes. This is also on my to-watch-list.
I had just started with the new DRACULA series and at first I appreciated its oddball approach but of course they couldn't resist pushing the envelope.
Knowing what's going to happen in episode 3 (IMDB review) I'm glad I stopped watching before I finished episode 1.
So, Messiah it is...
Part of the reason I am still watching.![]()
But he's so pwetty...
I am the sorcerous down in the deep. I am the earth under your feet...Not at all?

It gaslights you into thinking that it will reveal something extraordinary or at least thought provoking but it's just so dull and self important. I will finish it, as I have started and may be surprised by the end, however I am not that hopeful.
That's good to hear. I will finish it off then. My brother had also told me it gets better as it goes on.I've now finished watching this and the second half of the series picks up the pace and is much better than the first half. Overall, it was not the borefest that I thought it was after watching the first few episodes and there were some really good moments and times when I was eager to watch the next episode to see how things resolve themselves.
The posters advertising the series state "Will He Convert You? Will He Con You". I didn't think I would say this but it has converted me to think it's not a bad series after all.
I think it would have been better had it been a 90 minute film than drawing the story out over 10 45 mins episodes. That's good to hear. I will finish it off then. My brother had also told me it gets better as it goes on.
Do they still make these?a 90 minute film
