It’s actually a really good open hearted interview. Different from the usual Pollyanna speech / mirrors down usual lines we hear every time.
I think it’s the fist time I heard Michele talking about her mom. I always had a feeling this is what happened, but it was just a hunch. Not something you can really bring up (or that it’s any of our business).

Ryan’s story is also interesting / tragic. They formed the band as teenagers, and his dad (Michele’s brother) who was an entertainment lawyer contributed a lot to their success. I think it was him and another dad with entertainment ties that sort of helped push them through.
Then they became so successful and had so many shows that he just couldn’t physically play anymore (old shoulder injury I think) and got voted out at that top of their success.
