I was trying to work out who British TV's most prolific soap scriptwriter is and I have to say it must be Emmerdale's Bill Lyons, whose track record for scripts includes:
357 episodes of Emmerdale Farm/Emmerdale (1984-date).
1 episode of Crossroads (1973).
10 episodes of Z-Cars (1972-1976).
13 episodes of Angels (1979-1983).
4 episodes of Gems (1985)
30 episodes of EastEnders (1985-1988).
1 episode of Eldorado (1992).
Can anybody beat that?
