I'd give a damn if I valued party more than policies. Sanders is a progressive-leaning Independent who governs like an old school Democrat, while Hillary still supports a neocon agenda.

Sanders also votes no on policies such as increasing the military budget and deregulating the banks, as well as Trump's far right nominees. In contrast, many Dems have voted yes.

Did anyone else notice that every Senate Democrat but one voted against Kavanaugh and yet, it made no difference at all? Funny how being in the minority ends up making you absolutely powerless to stop any atrocity the Republicans come up with. But let's stand on "principle" and help them increase their majority because at least we can give the middle finger to moderate and red state Democrats and anyone else who dares oppose us in any way.

Democratic voters could also start backing uncorrupted, progressive candidates in primaries instead of corrupt corporate shill war mongers. They're also responsible for the outcome.

Joe Manchin's vote for Kavanaugh has put his Senate seat in danger. Perhaps the Democratic base is tired of moderates and red state Democrats giving the middle finger to us.

The reason the party in power is often voted out is because people realize how shitty they are, so they vote for the other side. And when that side inevitably screws them over too, they usually vote the other side back in power. That's what pragmatism gets us over principles. We ping pong between two corrupt, shitty parties who do the bidding of their donors.

Lucky for you, the rules of logic in Underwood’s universe only apply to me. Otherwise, that comment would make you a terrible misogynist. I suppose I’m also a misandrist since I think Lindsey Graham is a d!ck.
Huh? Haley and Graham are both horrible. C*n*s and dicks, both of 'em.

Yes they are. I don't dispute that one bit. SER! chose to derail his own thread to take a shot at me.

I've already explained the point I was trying to make to SER! in regards to him disingenuously calling me a misogynist first, but he's ignoring it on purpose.

I'd love for someone to point out just one time I've ever accused Underwood (or anyone else) of misogyny for calling a c*nt a c*nt. He most certainly (and hypocritically) read me the riot act over calling Kellyanne Conway a c*nt. As if Kellyanne Conway being a c*nt has anything to do with her gender. If she were a man, she'd still be a c*nt. Or d!ck, if you prefer. Oh, and she's a b!tch as well. But Underwood shouldn't bother getting his underwear in a disingenuously self-righteous twist. I think Trump is a b!tch, too. And I'm looking forward to the day I can say 'bye b!tch' to both of them.

I'll give the same response I did the first time, although I'm sure you'll continue pushing your own false narrative as usual:

According to the rules of logic in your universe, voting for a woman who is a Harvard educated doctor makes a person a misogynist that doesn't like "highly capable women"

And no, I don't think the use of the word "c*nt" automatically makes a person a misogynist. But since you disingenuously called me one first, I figured I'd turn the tables on you.

Can someone please explain to me exactly how a Harvard educated doctor is qualified to be president and how that makes her ‘highly capable’ when it comes to politics and elected office? Because Underwood certainly can’t. If you wanted to talk about a highly capable woman who was actually qualified for the presidency, Hillary Clinton had a successful law career, was a U.S. senator for 8 years, and was Secretary of State for 4 years.

But I digress. Does anyone else remember who Underwood supported for president before the ‘highly capable’ Harvard educated doctor? That would be a man. To be precise, a man whose supporters were referred to as ‘Bernie Bros.’ You know, the guy who ran to be the nominee of the Democratic Party Underwood despises so profoundly. But I’m supposed to believe his vote for Stein in the general election is proof he’s not a misogynist more than evidence of sour grapes that Hillary won the Democratic primary.

Lastly, I suppose I’ll consider it a victory that Underwood actually admits to disingenuously calling me a misogynist purely out of spite.

Your implication seems to be that I was fine voting for Stein because she's a dolt compared to Hillary. I disagree because dolts don't become Harvard educated doctors.

I never disputed that Hillary was a career politician, while Jill Stein's role in politics was that of an activist. But as I've also said many times, I preferred Stein's platform to Clinton's.

But I digress. Does anyone else remember who Underwood supported for president before the ‘highly capable’ Harvard educated doctor? That would be a man. A man whose supporters were disingenuously referred to as 'Bernie Bros.' Thanks to identity politics, some leftists place more value on race and gender than policies. Another thing I found interesting is that only twelve percent of Bernie supporters voted for Trump. In 2008, twenty-five percent of Clinton supporters voted for McCain. Party unity, am I right?

And as far as "despising" the Democratic Party, any political party is only as good as the people in it. If a candidate runs as a Democrat and I agree with their platform, I'll vote for them. If I don't agree with their platform, I won't. It's about individual candidates and what they stand for, not blind party loyalty. If I was a misogynist like you claim, I wouldn't have voted for any woman. I voted for Stein because she was the only candidate in the general election whose platform I agree with. I vote my conscience as opposed to voting for the lesser of two evils.

I also don't base my vote on anything as petty as "sour grapes." Of course, I can't imagine you rallying around Bernie had he controlled the DNC and they rigged the primaries for him.

Lastly, I suppose I’ll consider it a victory that Underwood actually admits to disingenuously calling me a misogynist purely out of spite.
And I'll never get the victory of you admitting that you disingenuously called me a misogynist first.

The underlying point I was making is that the use of "c*nt" is considered misogynistic by many women, while voting for a woman is the opposite of what a misogynist would do.

Let’s review, everyone. According to Underwood:

1) Not being a dolt qualifies you for the presidency.

2) There’s no difference whatsoever in casting a vote for Trump versus casting a vote for McCain. Except, of course, in one instance, you’re supporting a horse’s @$$.

3) SER! is somehow the petty hypocrite here even though he voted for Obama in the 2008 general election after he beat Hillary in the Democratic primary (and a walking, talking turd like Trump wasn’t even on the ballot).

4) Misogynists don’t vote for women (unless you’re SER!, in which case my own twisted rules don’t apply because I say so).

According to Underwood's actual thoughts:

1) Not being a dolt, but rather a Harvard educated doctor, makes a woman "ambitious and highly capable." Which, according to SER!, is the type of woman I don't like.

2) Voting for McCain was a vote for a racist war monger who conspired to protect a donor that swindled people out of their life savings. And, of course, picking Sarah Palin for VP.

3) I voted for Obama too. Twice. And all I got was more wars, more illegal spying, whistle blowers prosecuted, a right wing healthcare plan, pretending the water in Flint was safe, etc.

4) I never actually said SER! was a misogynist. However, since he felt free to call me one, I thought he should know many women consider the use of "c*nt" to be misogynistic.

Now let's review SER!'s postions:

1) Political experience is more important than where a candidate stands on the issues. It's better to vote for a corporatist war monger Democrat than a socialist or a progressive Green.

2) It's okay that some Clinton supporters voted for a Republican over a Democrat in 2008, but it's not okay that some Bernie supporters voted for a Republican over a Democrat in 2016.

3) SER! cares about election integrity and is upset that Russia meddled on behalf of Trump. However, SER! doesn't care about DNC primary rigging or Dems throwing voters off the rolls.

4) SER! wants to use disingenuous insults against me, but is indignant when I turn them around on him.

Jesus. Surely to God someone on here besides me longs for the days of peaceful silence between me and my antagonist. Was that not better than the absolutely pointless bull$h!t above that’s been rehashed over and over again? :eck: What’s wrong with just wanting to be left the f**k alone?? What part of ‘I don’t want to talk to you’ don’t you understand? If only he were a man of his word and could actually hold up his end of a bargain.

I never said anything directly to you in this thread to begin with. My first three posts were articles about Nikki Haley, and then you dredged up the past.

The other two threads were created by me, which again never mentioned you. And again, you chose to reply and respond to everything I said.

As far as holding up an end of the bargain, we had agreed to stay out of each other's threads. Yet you circumvented the agreement by liking posts in my threads.

When this finally dies down, I'm done. At least with you. I foolishly believed we could put the past behind us. Frankly, I'm also tired of rehashing the same old shit with my antagonist.
