But...

But...

I am totally enjoying Adrian Chase running Oliver into the ground. Chase kills his wife and blames it on the Green Arrow. This villain is far greater than Ra's, Slade and Damien Darhk.

But you've been known to surprise me.
I haven't found anything too frustrating and I have two more episodes left of season 5, so now I'm really curious to what you was referring to.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Chase, though I wasn't too surprised he turned out to be Prometheus. I love how Chase always appears to come out on top, much more than I did with Damien Darhk and Ra's

I just found the whole thing with Oliver questioning himself and his intentions after he had been held prisoner by Chase, frustrating. I didn't like the stuff with him shutting down the team, etc.

Oh yeah, now you mention it, I was frustrated. I always find myself rolling my eyes when the hero retreats in any story and somehow it seems to happen in all superhero stories, which again bores me.

There's two things that stand out to me as frustrating to watch, one is them shutting down their mission and the other is where they end up in a life/death situation, you always know that both stories are just a side track and will be resolved after some time.

This story with Oliver blaming himself for everything that happened was also prominent in The Flash where Barry blamed himself for everything since Flashpoint.

Yes, and I found it frustrating on that show too.

The season 5 finale was bloody epic. I've loved all four show's finales this time around, but Arrow - Just wow!! It had everything.

Merlin sacrifices himself to save Thea and the others, however we never saw him die on screen, so there's a story hidden in there somewhere.

Bringing Slade back was a great move and then we he double crossed Oliver and gave him up to Black Canary I was gutted, only to find out later it was all an elaborate plan to free the others and Slade had double/double crossed Chase.

I've lost count how many times I've mentioned how brilliant Chase has been this season, he's rigged the island with bombs that it's going to be completely destroyed, but only if Chase dies.

I kept thinking, why doesn't Oliver just shoot Chase in his legs so he's no longer capable of fighting and in the current situation, he can't do much damage if he can't actually walk.

Chase doing everything he can to make Oliver kill him just wasn't working. I had a feeling his son was on the boat with them, but then came the ultimate decision, save William by killing Chase, or save the rest of his friends by letting Chase live and he kills William.

A-ha.... Oliver does stick an arrow in Chase's leg and frees his son from his clutches.

Loved, loved seeing Moria back, even if it was just part of the flashback story. (It's making me want to watch the Pilot again)

Of course, we can't have an epic season finale without a finish as exciting as this one. Chase kills himself and the island starts to explode with everyone still on it.

I went back and watched about half of the pilot. Oliver & Thea look really young, younger than I ever remembered.

I was also shocked to see Sara Lance was a different actress, obviously back then I would never have noticed because she wasn't around during the beginning and when she did return, I clearly didn't realise it was a different actress.

I didn't know about the Walking Dead reference. That's awesome.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding Jeffery Dean Morgan joining The Walking Dead and images were appearing online. I had no idea it was actually featured in the show.

I like that it appears they are going to focus a bit on his relationship with his son this season.

Twelve days until season 6 begins!

Yes! It's going to be fun watching it weekly with you.

I like this too, I'm curious where it takes his son. I just hope they don't go in the direction where his som becomes his weakness.

I'm guessing it's either going to be what you mentioned or else the son was brainwashed into hating Oliver while he was being held prisoner.

bringing and old thread that hasn't been touched in apparently 4 and a half years back to the top of the list, i watched Smalliville's entire series as i got it for X-mas.

it's the new bluray box set a MUST purchase if you guys and gals are fans of the show. anyways since i finished watching it a week and a half ago i decided to head into the Arrowverse why the hell not? my dad used to watch it and than lost interest he told me the other nite that he stopped cause he felt it wasn't going anywhere okay if that's what he thinks i can't stop him, however i bought seasons 1-5 on bluray and i've got 3 episodes left of season 1 to watch. coming off Smallville and loving the Ollie on that played Brilliantly by Justin Hartley it took me a long time to get used to the fact that not only is Arrow a darker show in tone but it's shot darker, written darker and more adult where Smallville at least some of it it is written for adults but teens as well it's not really a kids show is what i'm saying.

Arrow is clearly made for adults but no doubt kids watched it as well, my point is the 1st i'd say 3 episodes i was having trouble getting into the show and they weren't awful episodes they were good but during the 4th episode that's when i was starting to get into it and by the 5th i knew i was hooked. i never watched it on it's Original run but i do recall seeing promos for when Ollie came out to the public for whatever reason and looking it up it was apparently in season 6. i will no doubt get into The Flash as well soon as well
