Are there some forums that you have no desire to read or post in?

Now you can hide these forums from your view by clicking on your name and through the drop-down menu hit 'Optional Forums' this will take you to the list of forums and you can untick those you wish to hide.

Or simply go to your own personal details page and it's listed on the left side.

You should also be able to ignore individual threads if you still want to view any particular forum.

Just click on Thread Tools above each thread.

Personally I like pigging out at the SoapChat buffet. I'm an all inclusive Soap chatter.

I would recommend the Soap Chat Café, hiding in the games forum. It's much more upscale. ;)

I don't want to see updates in the Spam Forum being displayed in the "New Posts" section because a) I'm never going to read it and b) it bumps off the relevant discussions from the New Posts list.
I figured the only way to achieve that is to un-check the Games Forum in my optional forums, but now I still see the Spam updates.
What else can I do?

You should no longer be seeing Spam forum posts in the New Posts list as of tonight.

I fear that one of the most recent reboots has accidentally undone the removal of spam messages in the New Post list. Would it be possible to redo it, please?:)

Hi....can you tell me where to find 'Thread Tools' mentioned above? I don't see that on the top of a thread. Thanks. -b

Is Optional Forums still an, um, option?

None of the addons are compatible with this newer slicker version and we needed the new version because some things we're failing with the outdated version.

Once we find our feet I will look at what I can reinstall.

It's just a matter of updating the addons.

I'm more frustrated with the members online info stuck at the bottom and not down the side. It's fine if people are on their phones, but I like my desktop far better.

I think it looks good as it is, new and fresh., easier to navigate. Love the menus and options.
