I definitely find it interesting but I’m just thinking about the backlash over five entire seasons being a dream. There’s enough backlash now with only one season being a dream lol!

I definitely wouldn’t want to lose season 6. I can live with season 9 being the dream but losing 6 would be much more regretful for me.

I still feel it’s the best season overall. Definitely the one I enjoy watching the most on a rewatch.
They could have made his death scene part of his dream.

They say you can't dream you own death, but they made it part of Pam's dream - which is the same thing to my mind.

I was watching Carousel last night - the one with Margaret Michaels as Pam (which they confirm in the credits so there's no doubt).
I think it's pretty obvious that we're supposed to take this as the final word. She's got some dread terminal illness and we won't be seeing her again. Of course the reckoned without us obsessive fans who wouldn't believe it unless we saw a body - and maybe not even then.
More importantly, as I was watching it occurred to me that they should have done this scene two years earlier but as a flashback with Bobby talking to his doctor as an explanation for his yearlong absence. He came to after the family left the room, but thought he was dying and didn't want the family to have to watch. Then he got better. Simple.

I’ve always felt the last four seasons of the show were dreamt by Mark Graison as he lay dead on Pam’s shower floor. Her water bill that month was pretty bad.
