Very sad that he did not see his 100th birthday, he surely was a stalwart for the Royals!

Queen Elizabeth will hopefully not go downhill now she has lost her soul mate. Fergie and Andrew will remarry, the Royal Family will now be more relaxed due to his passing as his strict rules made it so stuffy! But he did alot for the UK and being the Queen's consort for such a long time.

Philip may you rest in peace!

He hated Fergie .... so the path is clear for the trollop and gold digger to remarry her prince.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Would’ve been great if he could’ve made it to 100. Such a terrific milestone, but he was blessed with a nice, long life nonetheless.

The BBC have also been inundated with complaints about their coverage saturating its entire schedule on its numerous channels.
There has been similar complaints here in Australia directed at ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), wholly supported by the Australian taxpayer. They have 4 channels but their main two are ABC HD and ABC NEWS. Both channels were running wall to wall coverage. Others were critical of our commercial channels. I don't see the point but it was to be expected. Some of the criticism gets a bit nasty so I don't understand why people simply don't turn the telly off. Go for a walk, read a book, start binge watching that series you've been putting off.

I once read Fergie was still residing with Andy...is that true?

As far as I know they both still live at Royal Lodge and also share a vaccation house in Switzerland. Honestly though after a certain scandal a remarriage between Andrew & Fergie would not be a bad thing and might actually be good for his reputation!

Then as for Prince Philip I found out today when watching a documentary on BBC World (yes I got the channel back already) that he was one of the founders of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). I found that particularly interesting as I can't remember hearing about it before and I have been a supporter of that particular charity for a long time.

that he was one of the founders of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
One of our channels spoke at length about it yesterday. Of course we hear of these things only after his passing. The tabloids and broader community have no interest in this...not in the era of Instagram.

Prince Philip's passing may be receiving wall to wall TV coverage in the U.K. but here in the U.S. it was the "one last thing before we go" story on the couple of newscasts I watched.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Here in the US the coverage of Prince Philip’s passing has seemed very minimal to me, and I find it quite surprising to be honest.

I can understand why Andrew might want to remarry Fergie to do some damage control but the only benefit I could see for her has a dollar sign at the front and a lot of zeros at the back.

I don't think that is the case really. I think she honestly loves him. I don't know if they ever will remarry though. I guess time will tell.

I haven't watched any of the coverage of PP's death, but I've read a lot of coverage about the coverage, if that makes sense.

Oh yes, the gold digging tramp is still residing with him, friends with benefits, she is so skint! Now they will remarry, they want to and go and live in exile, they both are a disgrace to the family! Lets high profile the Countess of Wessex who is hardworking and has grace and beauty, lets have her headlined in the press for all she does, might make pages 2 or 3, not the front cover, but Fergie and Andrew are front page news and for the wrong reasons!

Well said Grant Jennings, she is a gold digging common tramp!

As someone who has spent many a holiday in the USA - please dont shoot me- :sorry::embarrassed: But i find USA news stations very insular and its all about USA

Relatives in USA dont know much about what happens in the big wide world we live in, know about Michigan and USA though

I didnt have a clue who won the UK election in 2010, It didnt even merit a mention - but a mini tornado in Upstate NY dominated the headlines! I had to go to the BBC web site to find out Mr cameron won.
