It just disappeared Sept 12th 2016, I was in Portugal! I Posted Clayton farlow before i went for breakfast and he was never seen again ;)

I still dont know how or why it happened and it saddens me that we lost nearly 20 years of posts and key events on Dallas in particular, deaths of key cast like BBG, LH, HK and all the wonderful tributes that came following that

and all the posts re SF 30th BBQ and all the issues, Fan Source, other Dallas events etc, not to mention all the posters who no longer post here, it was nice to go back and read posts and remember people who have dipped in and out over the years.

Wow, and no server company could explain or try retrieving it? Whoever owned it wasn't interested in pursuing a fix?

You are so right about the many tributes and posts that were very important to many of us there. I participated daily for years and ended up having less time as my kids grew older. I'm so sorry now that it's gone.

I mostly remember that during the old forums, a cable company aired one Dallas episode an evening. We would all watch the episode, and then look forward to coming on here and talking about it.

It was quite a fun time back then, all of us watching the same episode each day and then discussing it. Many people had some real insight into the subtle nuances of each show.

Good times . . .

You could always set up a Telly Talk twitter account and do a Dallas re-watch of the whole series or individual episodes. During lockdown many shows have done it and they've been hugely popular.

It would also get #Dallas trending if lots of tweets were made.

Some people thought the Crash of 2016 was done deliberately, so they didn't come back lest it happen again.

I just assumed Victoria bought the site and then fired everybody.
