It is night and the Gioberti castle is looking as grand, as ever. Maggie and Chase are concerned because Vicki hasn't returned yet, from her night out. Time is pushing on! The bearded vintner and the blonde heroine would like a bit of woopie, (a scene from season 2, 1982 - '83):

Maggie: "Cole isn't home either, or is that different because he's your son?"

Chase: "It is different."

Maggie: "Oh! Is it huh?"

Chase: "Yeah!"

Maggie: "Well. Tell me about it."

Chase: "Ah......well....he's two years older......"

Maggie: "Yeah......."

Chase: "And he's taller!"

Maggie: "He's taller........"

Chase: "And he's a member of the dominant sex."

Maggie: "He's what? He's a member of the what?"

Thanks for sharing it was interesting seeing them together. I've heard before that they were married but have had a hard time picturing it as I've only seen Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched when she was that much younger but seeing them in this interview it makes sense. :)

I think the interview must have been from 1992 since that's when the movie they were promoting was from. Also interesting how they both thought it was harder to play comedy than drama.

I've never heard before that she was supposed to have joined Falcon Crest in season 6.

In the Spanish television magazines the matter was discussed and it was insinuated that one of the reasons for Robert's departure from the series was that
Susan Sullivan told that she had problems with Robert. He was a difficult drinker and had a bad temper.
On one occasion she had Sullivan and the whole team waiting ONE HOUR because she had been talking to Elizabeth,
Susan would have liked Elizabeth's presence.

So Cindy Morgan came instead. I would like to have seen Liz in character giving Angela the bitch slap. Chase would need to have been there watching on, before Chao-Li goes to see if Angela is ok. Priceless!

Morgan played Gabrielle Short, the character you mention. But Gwen Fuller was played by Leslie Bevis (The lady who worked with Chase in some political affairs).

Before things are confused: The original bible for season 6 created the rôle of Dr. Gwen Fuller, Chase's physician and new love interest, to be played by Elizabeth Montgomery. We added this information as a special update to our "Behind the Scenes" section for the 40th anniversary: http://www.falconcrest.org/english/master.php?path=show/episodes/ai/bts/6/gi — scroll down to the section about original storyline plans.

The character name Gwen Fuller became available for the different part played by Leslie Bevis later that season after it had remained unused when Elizabeth Montgomery did not join the cast and her storyline was abolished.

In the first episode of the sixth season, Richard tells Maggie when visiting him in jail. That she would like to see what is happening in her house.
This would justify Maggie taking Michael home.
Richard only spends one weekend, it was planned in the bible that he stay longer

According to http://www.falconcrest.org, she was to join the show in season 6 (as Gwen Fuller, the woman who "stole" Chase to Maggie) but this plan was canceled when she found out she had cancer.
Apparently the German club is better informed
In Cine Tele Revue I read that Robert had had back surgery and that she had neglected herself, concerned only with taking care of Robert

Thanks for the compliment. We do pride ourselves in fact-checking, indeed. If we quote rumors (which is rare), we expressly note that it is a rumor or which source made a certain claim.

All things that are presented as facts on falconcrest.org are verified from the primary source (the series itself), secondary sources (scripts) or subordinate sources (like production documents or conversations with cast, crew and staff members). The details of our Standards & Practices can be found here: http://www.falconcrest.org/english/master.php?path=show/episodes/ai/sp. It's a rigorous policy since we feel this is the only way to adhere to journalistic integrity.

In this program a highly qualified coroner accesses the autopsy and forensic reports,
Elizabeth Montgomery hid from the doctors that she had previously had colon cancer.
As it has not been controlled since then to prevent the cancer from reappearing.
