I'm still banking on the unlucky groom being Jeff Colby. They'll likely put it off until the end of the season, but since they don't seem to be beefing up his character lately (even as his sister's character is growing by leaps and bounds) I'm guessing he's living on borrowed time. The way his heart monitor machine was skipping and sputtering after the shooting (with no one really acknowledging it during the scenes) made me think he has a heart condition they wanted to introduce but not emphasize...at least not until later when they need him to kick the bucket. Rather than Alexis marrying him in a whirlwind courtship, I think it will be more of a deathbed wish for Alexis to "use my money to destroy Blake". The fight over his fortune will give plenty of screen time to Monica (who should be the rightful heir), and might precipitate the return of Jeff and Monica's mother, as well.

I think there's a bullet fragment near Jeff's heart that the surgeon overlooked. Once he and Alexis get hitched, he'll drop dead with some (Cristal?) suspecting she killed him until the autopsy reveals the true cause.

I agree that it feels likely that Jeff is the unlucky groom; I feel like they would've at least beefed up his relationship with Kirby if they were going to keep him on the show, but she seems to have been paired off in Sam's sphere. It's also obvious that him and Fallon are permanently done as the rampant cousincest the original Dynasty did isn't exactly acceptable with today's tv audiences.

The tradition demands "Colby" for Alexis third name. The legend has been referred as Alexis Colby for 30 years ( even by people who never watched the show). Much more than Carrington or Dexter. Let alone Rowan...
So the only Colby available being Jeff, I guess he has to be the unfortunate one to give the bride his name.
Unless Mama Dominique adopts Alexis darling as one of hers. Or Papa Cecil come back with a sudden crush for the Trashy Barbie.

You know, Jeff Colby might be the obvious choice, and I'd be glad to see him go. But...
Who would be the one to drive Cristal crazy if Alexis married him? Who has a history of falling to his death and having Alexis be blamed for his death?
